Crooked Wings

Chapter 4

    Raven's and Pigeon's injuries healed surprisingly fast, at least in their opinions. It was now February, just a few days till the school's Valentine's Day Dance. Raven walked into Mr. Morby's class then sat down next to Pigeon who was reading a letter, Then a huge smile appeared across her face.

    "Pigeon what is it?" Raven asked her best friend who was writing down rapidly on a lined piece of paper that she ripped out of her note book.

    "It's from Ruby, guess what? she asked me to be her date to the school dance" Pigeon answered her, still smiling. Her head was bouncing in excitement.

    Raven knew Ruby she wore the same kind of clothing each day, a green hoodie and a red or pink shirt. Ruby was the lesbian of the class, at least that is what Alice always called her. 

    There was a letter on Raven's desk to with some flowers next to it. It was from who she thought it was from, Kestrel he was asking her out to the dance, this made her happy because Alice liked Kestrel and Alice was a real Witch in all capital letters.

     The door opened at first everyone thought it was Mr. Morby, but it was Kestrel who came and sat next to Raven. "So will you go, with me?" He asked with a nervous smile on his face.   

    Raven nodded her head making her hair bounce above her scalp like a kangaroo in the out back then a paper airplane hit her in the back of the head. She turned around and scowled and realized that Pigeon was the one who through it then realized that it landed on the top of Ruby's desk.

    Ruby unfolded the paper airplane rapidly and started smiling as she held the letter Pigeon wrote up to her chest.
