Baby Series # 1:- Sam

" Are you a dumb woman? Just keep your stupidity to yourself. Keep your mouth shut. Don't embarrass me in front of the media. I will answer the maximum questions but if they question you at least use your peanut size brain for the first in your life. Don't create any more drama, you have already done enough. Just don't say anything stupid, don't do anything stupid, ok!!! You are just embarrassment, Sam."                                ----------- " Mam, "  "Yeah?" "Mam we have reached." Hearing that she looked outside the window. The company made up of glasses was standing there with great pride showing its enormous beauty. Samantha was immersed in the reminiscence of the past, that she didn't realize they have reached their destination. They were not just memories, they were nightmares that still haunted her. But today she was not going to allow her past or HIM to prevent her from achieving her goals. She was not that same innocent, naive, and weak Sam. She will no longer give anyone a chance to disrespect her. Raising her head high she entered the Knight Co. Her white shirt was neatly tucked in her tailored navy blue pants that were, clean and wrinkle-free. The ham was covering her ankle. Her shining black heel was coordinating with the color of her handbag. Entering the company, the first thought which crosses her mind was... the whole company was screaming of Money. On one side of the lobby. There was the reception desk, in which the typical cake faced Barbie was sitting. " I see he is still very fond of having a showpiece barbies in his company. For him money, status, and his fake reputation is everything." she scoffed thinking. As soon as you enter Knight Enterprise, you will feel that you have come to the fashion runway. Employees of this place seem to come out of the fashion magazine. " So much of showing off." She thought and rolled her eyes. His lawyer was sitting on a sofa waiting for her. She delivers a slight nod as a greeting. As soon as she reached where he was, he asked " Are you sure Sam??? We have come to the right place because I feel less of this office and more of the fashion show." She didn't miss the sarcasm in his tone.   Neil James Stone was a lawyer as well as her friend. He was a hot specimen, with sharp jawline in which there was a light but neatly trimmed beard, slightly crooked nose, and thin but nice lip. His business grey shirt was clinging like a second skin, you can feel those hard rock chest and abs through that thin fiber, his black hair was neatly tugged. His grey eyes look intimidating. You will miss a little golden flicker in those grey eyes if you don't look carefully.   Sam scoffed and replied " Don't tell me you are not enjoying it, I can bet my entire fortune you had already exchanged your number with one of those, sorry one is so little number for your manwho**ing. Tonight you will be very busy fu**ing one of those barbies." She rises her one eyebrow challenging him to deny her statement.   " Ouch! you are so mean and rude Samantha, you hurt my poor heart. I just appreciate those goods and worship them in the night" Neil exclaimed dramatically placing his hands on his chest. " Oh! Please I don't have any interest in your whatever" Sam replied.   The entire demeanor of Neil shifts into very serious and then he asked " Are you sure Sam you want to do this? I mean, after all, he is-" Sam cut him off in the middle and said. " Never been so confident about anything in my life." She passes a small smile and without giving him another glance moved towards the lift. The lawyer takes the hint and joins her in the lift.  " So all shareholders and council will be there but they are just his puppets. I am still investigating, we will uncover some useful information. I also heard, he- " Her lawyer was updating her about the situation but stops when the elevator dinged and more people enter. After reaching the 42nd floor, the elevator's gate opened, and then they both came out. She knew this floor very well and even today, she remembers everything. Old memories hit her like ocean waves. She closes her eyes tightly and tries to clear her mind. The adjacent wall always had a familiar photo, which has now been replaced by someone else's photo or Just a woman on that man's side was different. They move toward the secretary's desk and announced their arrival. The secretary was a brunette with grey eyes in her twenties, dressed in a typical white blouse and tight pencil skirt. The pencil heel was echoing in an empty hallway. Secretary takes them to the conference room, where the meeting was going to be.  "I have informed the boss about your arrival. He will be here in five minutes." She informed them and takes her to leave. Neil James Stone was a lawyer as well as her friend. He knew behind this tough "I am strong" woman, there is still an insecure, nervous girl. The slight trembling of her hand and repeated taping of her foot didn't go unnoticed from him. She was repeatedly touching her bracelet, which she wore in her left hand. He held her already trembling hand and giving it light squeeze he spoke softly  " Sam, just relax ok. Don't lose your temper. Do not give them a chance to find any drawbacks. We have got the upper hand so just keep calm... You are the most strong and stubborn woman I have ever met. Most importantly I trust you and believe in you so, I know you can do it. We can do it." The warm and sweet voice helps her in calming her inner turmoil. No matter how much she was trying to look strong outside herself, she was scared inside. No matter how strong we become, sometimes when the demons of the past encounter us. He terrifies us. But we should not run away fearing him.  And today she was going to do the same. It was difficult but not impossible. Sam gave herself a pep talk. The meeting room was also quite familiar. She was so engrossed in her memory lane, she didn't hear the sound of the door opening. When her tormentor enters in the room and said. " Long time no see Sam" It was the same voice that always sends chills in her spine.
