Baby Series # 1:- Sam

CHAPTER FOUR

Everything happened so quickly, she could not understand what was happening. All the moments after meeting Jasper, then leaving the meeting were hazy. She was hardly managing her face from showing any emotions, her mind and heart were in their conflict. She could feel her lower lip trembling and her eyes began to fill with tears, causing everything to be blurry. The lift was taking so much time to get to their floor. As the door of the lift opened, she hastily entered it and she didn't recall if the door shut first or if she broke down first. Neil was at her side the entire time, he was rubbing her arm softly and whispering sweet nothing to her. Neil knew everything about her history with that jerk. He knew Sam was very anxious inside. He noticed her clenching and unclenching her fist while facing her father and ex-husband. She often does it when she was nervous. But he was proud of Sam.

"Well, Sam I know I am your best friend, but coild you please stop wiping your snout on my shirt," Neil said so seriously, that Sam could not help herself and a little laugh escaped from her throat. She punched Neil's arm lightly.

" I was not wiping anything on your shirt, OK!!! and I don't have a snout," she exclaimed, wiping her nose with the back of her palm.

" Ahh, woman, you hit like a man! I was being so generous but you-" Neil, Neil said dramatically rubbing the place, where Sam had punched him.

" Aww, poor Neil," She said mockingly, pinching his cheeks.

" Sam!!! you know I hate it when you do that, and keep a little distance, I don't want to disappoint my admires, they might think that I am taken," Neil said swatting Sam's hand and styling his hair and dusting his suit.

In response, Sam rolled her eye shaking her head but she was thankful Neil was with her, he may be annoying and childish but was bestest best friend she could ever have. Then she remembers her other best friend Jessica Alena Millions.

"JESSICA ALENA MILLIONS, don't tell me he is that Steve guy who cheated on you. I told you he is a jerk, but you… give me his address, I am going to kill him with my bare hand, no I will punch his face or I can chop off his -" She was raging, she was ready to slaughter that egoistic, snobbish rich brat who hurt her best friend. She had already pictured killing that douchebag thousands times in her mind.

"Relax my wonder women!!! That was a misunderstanding, he didn't cheat and he is not like those arrogant rich guys, he really is nice, sweet, caring and I love him and most importantly TRUST him, please Sam pretty please only once, you are my best friend, please meet him, you will definitely like him" Jess requested her giving those cute adorable puppy eyes puckering her lower lip. "Ok! only First and last time," Sam said with a huff."Love you Sam, and by the way, don't call him Steve guy he has a name-"

She comes out from her memories when she feels a slight nudge on her arm, Neil was pointing towards the door with a raised eyebrow. Today was a bad day for Sam as soon as she got off the lift she met Sarah. The hottest girl of her high school and a complete b*tch, with her typical makeup caked face and a very short dress, Sam doesn't know why she hated her from high school.

" Oh, Sam baby!!! Daddy dearest is again angry with you, well any parent would be angry if they have a daughter like you, you are such a disappointment, Sam" She told her in her screechy sugar-coated voice, eyeing her with so much distaste. Sam was going to give her peace of mind but cut off by her savior.

NO!!! not by Jasper, but our Neil.

"Oh, darling I just have one question why are you wearing your little sister's cloth?" Neil asked Sarah with so much innocence, for one minute Sam was also confused if Neil was really clueless or feigning it. But Sarah being Sarah she shifted her attention to Neil.

"And who is this hotty? and what are you doing with her...?" The bi**h Sarah was replaced with s**t Sarah, Sam was pissed off and with a devilish smirk, she wrapped her arms around Neil biceps, with battling her eyes she said in a sweet silky voice.

"Neil babe I think we are getting late, I don't think we have time to waste, shall we go babe?" She said passing Sarah the same look of distaste. In her mind, she was hoping, once in his life he will not think with his d**k but with his mind.

"Yeah, babe!!! let's go" As being overdramatic, he drops a chaste kiss on her left cheek, then wrapping his arm around her waist he pulled her towards the exit.

Just as they exited Knight Co. Sam was going to complain about the kiss when Neil beat her." Don't tell me you are finally falling for my charms, I know I am hot and handsome but I don't do relationship Sammy, I am sorry that I have to break you, heart."

"Cut off your bullsh*t Neil and I was saving you from STDs, I know you were going to f**k her but She was total s**t in our high school days, and looking at her now I don't think she has changed, you should thank me I saved you from her," Sam said glaring.

" Ok, but you have to treat me dinner" Don't you have a night appointment with your admirers?" Sam asked highlighting night appointments and admirers.

" Your definition of night and my night is different Sam and I can please my admirers even after dinner and also I have to meet my favorite -" Neil was explaining Sam by moving his both hands in weirdest postures, then he stopped when saw his car approaching. Neil was still in the role, he dramatically opened car's door and bowing his head said "After you, my lady"

Sam entered in the car laughing at Neil's failed attempt, completely unaware of a pair of eyes scrutinizing them.

The eyes of JASPER STEVE, he was digesting the fact that he just meets Sam, that same Sam, for whom he was searching for the past four years, she was with him just a minute ago, then again disappear. He knows the little speech Sam has given in the meeting room was for him. He was guilty of that little stunt he pulled at the past. Today when Sam said he realizes how wrong he was, he knows Sam was right & he was not liking it. As the meeting was canceled he was going to take his leave, when Mr. Walton request to join him in his office. He was curious about why she was here. Then he scoffed thinking, of course, that money-hungry woman, when they were married he thought maybe just maybe he misinterpreted her. She may be innocent, she didn't do anything. But before it gets too late he sees her real face. He was thinking this as they entered the VIP elevator of Mr. Walton's, Walton's VIP elevator was made of one side see through the glass as he has no interest in whatever Mr. Walton was telling him so, he peeks at the lobby area of Knight Co. And there he sees the woman his eyes were searching for. She was speaking to a woman who was wearing a very short dress, and seeing that he thought " Is it even allowed to wear that type of dress in this company?" But he knew Walton was a guy who believes in the external show off. Then Sam wrapped her perfect arms around that monkey's biceps, she was smiling sweetly to that raccoon!!! Then he saw something which makes his blood boils. If it was an animation Jasper would have been a volcano, who was going to erupt lava fountain from his eyes, ears, and middle of his head.

Jasper thought "Did that baboon just kissed her." Jasper was like an angry fire dragon, he was ready to spit up the fire and burn that i***t into ashes. He shuts his eyes tightly to calm his raging mind.

The sound of the lift's ding shifted his attention to the Walton's.

"So, Mr. Steve what you have to say about this case, "Huh, yes well Mr. Walton I am sorry to say but I have to take my leave. You can mail me all the important information and inform me about the next meeting." With that, he handshakes with that old man and with a firm nod entered the lift.

On the other side as soon as the lift door closed, the entire demeanor of Walton changed, he was very angry. He entered his office and closed his door with so much force the entire floor shook.

"Sam, I didn't know my shy, a scared little kitten will become a tigress, what can I say, after all, she is the daughter of that bit*h, but she doesn't know her mother was no match for me, and she is just a cub. I had invested my entire life in this company. This company is this famous and successful, WHY? It is all because of me and my hard work. Does she think she can snatch all this from me? In your dream Sammy, if you are being a bad girl then daddy can't help but he has to teach you a lesson." He thought, forming a devilish plan in his mind.

" And that Steve, he is a capable lawyer that's why I am enduring his tantrum, but if he tries to over-smart with me I have to deal with him also.

In the car:

"Uhm Sam, you know I mean it's not like I am trying to pry- but ok I know meeting Jasper was so shocking but if you feel like sharing anything you know- anything you can tell me, I will be there for you anytime, wait not anytime, you know not when, I am busy with my night exercise. But except for that time, you call me anytime." Neil said nodding his head.

"Neil! why anything you start would end with your you know whatever, I will never... you know WHAT!!! never going to call you at your that time, I don't know about my problems but hearing you at that time will really corrupt my poor soul. Just answer me honestly have ever thought seriously about other things which are not related to this?" Sam asked with horrified expression.

"Well, yeah one time at a day I think about any new reason, my dad is going to lecture me. He is never happy with me you know, so I stopped trying." Neil said casually shrugging his shoulder like it does not matter. But Sam knows it matters to Neil. Just like her, Neil's relation with his father was also not good. The difference was his father cared too much for his son and her father didn't give any sh*t about her.

As they reached Sam's apartment, she thought, whatever happens, it doesn't matter how bad her day was when she reaches home and embraces her favorite person. She gets peace and energy. With a smile on her face, she opened her door. Just as she opened her door, she heard the soft padding of little legs and her cute little angle was running towards her, with opened arms." Mommy!!!"
