It was the morning after my pack had claimed new land. My father and I walked to the eastern gate, he was happy and so was I. I tapped his right arm, he left it up and I went under it. It was dawn and the air was still a bit cold. The ground under my bare feet felt moist and icy. My dad felt warm and his arm felt like a blanket. His arm still had evidence of the war and his hands had his enemies blood up to his forearm. "Daddy wipe the smirk of your face, coz this is my land" i teased. "Not as yet, my shield" he carried on examining our new land. A lot is on his mind but then again my father worried about everything when it came to his people. We have given up a lot because of his kind heart. We are the only pack without a huge pack house. My father built small houses for his pack members and made sure everyone had their own privacy. All omegas have their own homes, work normal jobs even though some work around our land but most of them had an income. Mother isn't a fan of the idea. I never understood, because she grow up in an omega house, her father was an omega. She has Gama bold but most of her traits are of an omega. My father and I stood at the eastern gate until the sun was fully out. It was starting to get warm and all the warriors we moving bodies of the dead men, my brother Xo, was helping move the women and children to the pack hall. So that they could be assigned back into their homes if they want to or move to the Midlands and get housing there. "Eastern Ape pack doesn't have a lot of schools or running water dad" I was shocked and mad at the same time. The elders made sure every pack had the same amount of resources. But the Alpha of this pack wanted nothing but fame. He is always on TV talking about what his great uncle did. Alpha Theo's great uncle was the Alpha that ended the great tribal war, he gave some of his years away to the Goddess in exchange of our peace. He wasn't the only one but most books mention him because he is the one that had a meeting with the Goddess. He set with her and actually talked to her. My father and I walked amongst the people. The warriors bowed down and some of the people from the eastern pack did, accepting my father as their new alpha. I walked beside my father, my chest and shoulders out. I looked straight forward. I never like looking into people's eyes especially those who just lost the war and didn't know what was coming for them. I came to understand that war was part of us, it was part of our DNA. When the Goddess felt like it, war would break out and her animals would be out to play. When we were about to reach Alpha Theo's thrown. I felt the hairs at the back of my neck stand up, Maximus woke up. where is he, where is our mate? The jaguar was awake. He bloody sensed our mate. I looked forward hoping I would get a great look around once I reach the thrown. My cousin Mimi was with me, she looked at me. "Watch your breathing alpha" she whispered and I smiled. she could bloody hear my heart, um guessing the rest could as well. If her omega ears could pick up my heart rate everyone here could. i just had a flashback, cuz don't worry. #wink. I lied via the mind link. I didn't want her scanning the whole Eastern Ape pack looking for my mate. I wondered what he looked like. He better have a soft far and be a good looking beast. All the play things you choose have small beasts I could never play with. they're all weak animal which makes me want to rip their throat apart. Maximus complain in my head. I hadn't figured out Maximus gender yet. I mostly referred to Maximus as "he" that most because I remember when I accidentally shifted as a toddler, I went to some humans, they kept call him "he". Even when my father first saw him when I turned 9, he told me to keep him hidden and never tell people I had shifted. He also never used a pronoun for Maximus. He just calls him Max "Good morning everyone, I am Alpha Khuze, the Alpha of The Leo Pack. I have the largest pack in the Southern region and hopefully you will be part of that pack. Some of you will lose their tittles and some will get new ones. But also remember as you stand now the day after the war, you stand as free people. You have the choice to go in the wild a be a rogue, join another pack or simply join my pack and accept me as your Alpha." The hall was silent as they mind link each other. I stood forward "I know most of you are Omegas, and our pack is filled with the upper rank beasts. And we are also aware that this pack is filled with mix beasts as well, and if you're mixed with the wolf you think highly of yourself and expect to be treated better. In our pack that will not roll, Pure bloods run first, mixed blood can follow once they have established which part they identify with." I saw most wanted to respond mostly the males. They were not use to a female talking, and most a Beast female being direct. I wanted for a challenge, I saw a dark male looking down as if he was submitting to me while he was walking towards my father and I. Dad didn't even acknowledge him. I looked at him, couldn't sense his title. i narrow my eyes at him, he looked at me under his lashes. the Goddess is joking. Maximus was furious and offended in my head. My beast walked away. I laughed at him in my head. "Alpha Khuze, I'm Ash. The Alpha of this pack. Well since my father has decided to run away." he said kneeling infront of my father. My beast was right, he is weak. How would an Alpha just submit just like that. I looked at my father, he still didn't want to acknowledge him. My beast and my father didn't like my mate it was clear. I had to be the one to warm up to him or I was gonna be mateless. "um Siyo, at that is what my father calls me" I handed him my hand."
