I was ready. I had been ready for weeks. But watching the shock on his face turn into something darker. Something hungry and primal.
It caused something deep within me to clench.
“I want to be with you.” The words left my mouth in a jumbled rush. The need in my belly growing with every second. I knew I didn’t need to say the words but I wanted to make sure there was no misunderstandings. “I am ready.”
Wrens eyes , which had darkened at finding me naked in the clearing flashed into life at my words.
I took a step forward , my hand outstretched and he came to meet me. His much bigger hand curling around mine and pulling me towards him. I went easily. Curving my body into his hard chest so I was pressed against him.
