Then -Wren Life with Opal sharing my bed went on like nothing had changed at all. For the rest of the castle at least. But not for me. Not for us. It wasn’t like our day to day lives had changed. Opal still did her chores and I still had my obligations and training but there was a spring to our steps now. Or at least there was to mine. Partly because it was my body she wrapped herself around as sleep took her but mostly because there was a light in her eyes and colour in her cheeks now. I was making her happy. And that was making me happy. Summer was fast approaching and the fields and woodlands were full of wild flowers. None of which compared to her beauty of course but I did like picking them for her. Just to watch her face light up when she saw the small bunch sat on the table
