Opal Working the day shift was different to working the graveyard. Harder, busier but over all more fun. I didn’t have any time to dwell on my own thoughts of what could have been or what the future held for me and Wren. I was to busy for that. By the time the sun started dipping below the horizon, my feet were throbbing and my back aching but it was only then that I started to worry. Where was Wren? I had barely thought about him all day, I had been too rushed off my feet for that but now my shift was almost over I started to wonder. Where was he? He had never not been here at the end of my shift before. Even when I told him he didn’t need to stay he was always there sat at the corner table patiently waiting for me with a smile on his face. So where was he today? I tried not
