The Afterlife.

After the fall and Cox succumbing to the darkness, although he felt Nothing it was like he was in a dream-like state what surrounded him wasn't darkness or light. It was a library.

Cox was standing across a street he didn't know of right in front of him at the opposite side of the road was a library. The name of the library was called: The Afterlife. At first, Cox thought it was a joke so he began laughing pointing at the building. Passers-by were giving him looks like he was insane that was when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

The person had been watching the unfamiliar kid since he arrived. Normally Brad would never meddle in anyone's business especially in the Afterlife but the kid caught his attention and he wanted to know more about him.

Tapping on his shoulder, Cox turned to face the intruder.

Brad was in shock seeing how young the kid was although he had seen so many kids that appeared here due to some circumstances in this situation when he saw Cox he felt the power and connection the kid has, he also could see the aura the kid carried and it wasn't the type of aura that was needed here.

Surrounding the kid was Grey and Green Aura. Grey means the person had died, Green meant the person was living. So seeing a partly dead and alive boy appear in the Afterlife was what shocked Brad.

The power he felt was a power he hadn't felt for the past 5 decades that he had been here and the last time he felt it was when he was still living. Although he didn't know Cox the connection he felt made him decide on taking him under his wings till the green aura shines brightly before sending him back.

°Dear boy, why were you laughing?°

° I just got amused by the name of the library, I mean who names their library The afterlife? °

°Son you truly do not know where you are present, Do you? °

°No, I mean one minute I was falling off a cli____° Eyes opening like saucers not wanting to believe what his mind has made known to him.

° No... No... No, I can't be dead! How will Bill cope? The gods must be playing some cruel joke, this isn't meant to happen, I promised Bill never to Abandon him! Holy what if beasts attack him!? °

Cox kept ranting and the only person that occurred in his mind was Bill.

°Son breathe, you'll have a panic attack the more you keep speaking and worrying at the same time. I'm sure your friend is perfectly okay and safe.°

°Now you see that library, we are heading there to read some good ole books. I'll show you a different world around here and I'm sure you will enjoy your time here with me...°

Jerking awake was Bill he looked tired and worn out. A little disoriented he began to check his surroundings. Noticing the dead snake, he knew he was safe that alone made him relax a little before he remembered leaving Cox on the ground alone in the middle of nowhere.

Getting up he ran towards where he left Cox's body. On getting there he could see a change just that single change made him scream in horror if someone were to see him they would have looked at him like he was crazy because what he was looking at was Cox's current hair length.

Cox's hair length was now to his shoulder blades and currently, Bill was overreacting over it.

° How long have I been asleep!? It was just a small 10 minutes but your hair had already grown? But I thought you're dead?.....

Now, this got him confused because how could the dead still have some changes even after death?

Moving closer, he could see Cox's chest rising and falling but at a very slow rate if it wasn't because he concentrated he wouldn't have noticed. Laying his head on his chest he wanted to confirm with his hearing and what he heard made him burst into tears.

His friend was alive, he didn't die.

~Cox, thank you for keeping your promise, please keep fighting and come back to me~

°Come on let's get you to our temporary home.°

Lifting Cox, he felt how much he weighed remembering that one time he couldn't help but laugh out loud.

~ Even when he looked dead he still weighed a ton~

After smacking Cox's face several times on the ground they had finally arrived at the cave. Pulling Cox towards the stream he saw, he placed him beside it.

Looking at his reflection through the stream he couldn't help but feel disgusted by his new look. His formally clean self with Dark brown hair shoulder length, his Forest Green eyes, and a small pointy nose. But now he looked like someone who rolled in mud before rolling in green slime making his clothes feel sticky against his skin.

He didn't want to look at himself anymore, so he focused his attention on Cox's Bloodstained clothes and body. Pulling off cox's clothes he couldn't help but comment.

° I am sorry for invading your not-so-private privacy after all I've seen it all and also you look disgusting so I have to bath you so you won't wake up hating I, myself, and me for not taking care of you. Also, it's the least I could do for saving my life so many times °

° Okay, so I slained two beasts and the day is coming to an end and I also found this now free cave hehe because I killed that big spiderlike scorpion and snake. °

Scratching his head, he had wanted to tell Cox this if he was awake but he hasn't been able to and he doesn't know when he would be awake again.

°Cox, I like you, as in I like like you, and I could already picture your reaction. I know it's till you clock eighteen before you probably find your second mate since you rejected the first one. But I just wish we could date, you know till you find him or her. °

Unknown to him Cox heard him.
