Guilty Till Proven Innocent

IF i was told that I'd be here today writing this,I probably won't have doubted it.Judging from what I've done,I deserved to be here. I met Anna at college.We've been friends since then but not the "best friend" type of friendship.We would just meet up once in a while and call each other when we needed assistance. Then the news came.'Anna was in prison'.This is where it all started: ** 4:00am The alarm beeps and Anna grudgingly gets up.She is the type that hates waking up early.Morning sleep is really precious to her.But she would have to get used to it as things had changed for her. For months Anna searched for a job in many companies but got nothing.They all promised to call back later but her phone never rang.Now everything changed as she got a job as a model in a photography studio.It is owned by a popular fashionista known as Mrs Beatrice. At exactly 6:00am,she left her home and took a cab to the fashion house.Few minutes later,flashes of light filled the hall as models took pictures while each tried to create unique poses.Anna tried to give her best as she was new to this game. "Miss Anna can you give me a better pose please"-she heard the photographer ask her.She was already tired and with a faint smile,took a new pose. A middle aged woman marched into the hall,with shopping bags,in both hands.She was dressed in a white top,black jeans and a black blazer.Her hair flowed down her shoulders and bounced as she walked in,her eyes searching every corner for someone to help her with her bags.Mrs Beatrice sighted Anna who was about going into the dressing room and beckoned on her: "Excuse me young lady,would you mind lending me a hand,I wish to take these into my office"- she asked sweetly. Anna recognized her and quickly accepted as she lifted the bags. "Of course ma'am,please lead the way" "Thanks dear". It seemed an eternity had passed before they reached the office.They passed different well furnished, beautiful halls and restrooms leaving Anna in awe.She finally sighed in relief when they got to the door.When they entered inside the office,she carefully dropped the bags and proceeded to leave the office. "Are you a new model?" Anna turned around and replied: "Yes ma'am.I started today." "Alright you're free to go.Thanks dear"- Mrs Beatrice dismissed her. Anna left and as she walked past the halls,she couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of each one.As she walked past the restroom,she suddenly felt and urge to use it. Few minutes later,she came back and proceeded to walk back to the hall where she worked.She hadn't taken much steps when she heard a loud crash.Anna wondered where it came from when a muffled scream was heard.She ran towards the direction of the scream and came face to face with Mrs Beatrice door. She quietly turned the knob of the door,her heart beating rapidly when she saw a man in a red hood strangling Mrs Beatrice as she choked and struggled to escape.Anna felt the urge to scream but quickly covered her mouth with one of her palm.She quietly closed the door and was about turning around to run when she felt a hard and painful hit and the back of her head. She fell to the floor and everything went dark. **
