Kana started his day by baking cinnamon rolls because he craved to eat them. He wanted to laugh out loud when he asked the servants to help him.
This is the first time that they see their young master in the kitchen and they are afraid that Madame Yoon might be mad at them.
"Young Master, please let us do this." The servants keep on pleading but Kana shushes them out.
"This is easy, come on guys... Why don't you do something for me? Please powderize these things." he handed them the cinnamon sticks and sugar.
The two kitchen ladies obliged while Sheen helped him kneading the dough.
It took them 2 hours to finally make a huge amount of cinnamon rolls, he couldn't help but drool when he put caramelized milk on top and mixed nuts.
Kana was delighted with his success in making the food that he wanted to eat. He even gave every servant, at first they were reluctant to try because they saw how Kana suffered on making the sweet treat but Kana threatened them that he would whip everyone who wouldn't get and taste the food he made.
Of course, Kana was just joking around, he didn't want to hurt anyone without reason.
He is asking them to make some tea when Sheen comes back to the kitchen after she distributes the treats to the servants cleaning the hallways of the huge Han Manor.
"Young Master! Commander Yin came back, he has seven men with him!" She said.
Kana got up from sitting on the stool inside the dirty kitchen, he looked like a mess.
Remnants of flour were on his robe and he's all sweaty.
"Let's go meet them," He looks at the servant brewing the tea,
"Take that outside after you finish in the garden near my chambers. And please add more treats, Thank you!"
The servant sighed in relief when Kana left the kitchen, indeed he made a lot of delicious sweet treats but the kitchen was a disaster! They need to clean double time before Madame Yoon will come, though she's not scolding anyone but they know that she's just too kind to even raise her voice.
Kana sashayed in the garden beside his chambers when he saw his brother.
"Brother Yin! Who are they?" Kana said while looking at the seven men with his brother.
"Kana'er, what happened to you? You should change your clothes, you are a walking mess. They are sent from the Kingdom of Silla."
"Are they soldiers?" Kana sat down on the wooden bench, "Join us for tea... Come on sit down." He invited everyone. They looked tired and hungry, but no one sat down which made Kana frown.
The servants came with the tea and sweets.
"Help yourself." Kana motions the food while studying the seven men with his brother.
Yin looks at his little brother observing the men from Silla.
"Are you thinking about something Kana'er?"
"Do they know how to fight Brother Yin?" Kana sip the tea gracefully.
"Yes, but they still need to be trained." Yin tasted the weird food in front of them.
"Wuu, this is delicious."
"Thank you, I made that..." Kana said while looking at the biggest guy amongst the seven, his shoulders were wide, and his chest was chiseled but what caught his attention was the way that man looked at the food and tea.
"So, You know something about medicines and poisons?" Kana asked all of a sudden making the man still.
"H-how do you know Lady Han?" He unconsciously gets the teacup.
"I can see it by the way you look at the tea and food. Your eyes became restless and you wanted to see for yourself if this tea and food was poisoned am I right?"
Kana took a sip, "My brother took you all here for a reason, you wanna know?"
Kana looks at the other man who's busy eating the treats like a little kid.
"Maknae," He smiled at him, and the man smiled back.
"Based on your reaction, you're the youngest am I right?" He used the standard language in the Kingdom of Silla.
He nodded and smiled widely.
Kana looks at his brother.
"Brother Yin, I am quite wondering why you took them here and not in the training grounds inside the palace. Perhaps... You want them to do something for me and you don't know how to tell me about it, am I right?"
Yin stilled while looking at his brother, since when did he guess everyone based on their actions and gestures? And how did Kana know about his intention to take these men here in their manor instead of taking them to their father in the Palace training ground?
Kana stood up, putting on Imperial airs.
"2 weeks from now I will be joining the Consort selection of the crown prince, you came from the birth country of my mother, so I want you to work for me. I don't have any plans of losing this selection. Brother Yin, can you train them with all your might? They will be my shadow guards."
The seven men didn't say anything but all of them kneeled on one knee, their head bowing on the floor, their right arm on their chest.
"We will serve Lady Han in any way we can."
Kana clapped his hands with glee.
"Great! Now I will name you one by one."
He goes beside the man who knows medicine and poison.
"I'll call you RM short term for Righteous Master, you will be the leader amongst you."
"Thank you, Lady Han."
Kana moved the next standing beside him. "I'll call you Jeon or Maknae sometimes because you're cute and the youngest."
"Thank you, My Lady."
"I'll call you V, despite your soft demeanor, you have this deadly stance."
"I'll call you Min, your voice is sweet and delicate."
"I'll call you Seok, because of your peaceful stance... You are the most calm amongst you."
"I'll call you Yun, for you will be my front guard, you look alert."
"And last but not least, I'll call you Jin. Your aura screams good luck and charm."
"You will be called Kana's Black Angels."
Yin shook his head when he saw the seven guys thank his little brother.
How does his gentle little brother become this cunning?
