Kana made up his mind.
He overlooked the situation and according to the memories that flood his mind, General Han has been serving the Emperor with all loyalty and honesty. Kana also asked Madame Yoon how they ended up being together.
According to her, General Han was sent by Emperor Jong Munwoon, the current Emperor and the Father of the three princes, as reinforcement to help the Kingdom of Silla, which Kana found out was part of the three kingdoms in the now modern Korea when they got attacked by the Barbarians, General Han fought in all bravery that the King of Silla, Madame Yoon's Uncle, granted him a wish.
He chose to marry Lady Yoon and their union became an instrument for Siam and Silla to be united.
Kana remembered how kind the Crown Prince was when they met, he's so soft-spoken and educated.
Kana wanted to laugh out loud when he realized what he wanted to do, back when he still didn't accept the fact that he traveled back in time, he wanted to go back to the future.
But now, he wanted to stay and win the Consort selection.
Something is bothering him though, what if the previous Kana had an alliance with Prince Haii to help them fight against the empire? What if? What to do?
Kana woke up in his reverie when he heard a loud flapping of wings outside the window of his room.
Sheen got alerted and opened it for him.
"Oh, it's Moon. The Owl messenger of the Crown Prince." She raises her arm and the bird steps on it, revealing a small folded note on its foot.
Kana stood up slowly, he thought that he might scare the bird but surprisingly it stayed still until Kana managed to remove the letter.
"Stay Moon, my Master might reply."
The owl let out a weird sound as he understood it, so Kana opened it quickly.
It's a freaking love note, Ancient style!
He fights the urge to snort and scoff loudly.
"It has been said that the sun is the main source of energy,
But why does it seem reverse to me? I felt like I lost my energy when I did not see you, I am the sun of the empire, but for me, you are my universe."
Kana's face wrinkled. Gosh, this guy is so corny and cheesy.
But, deep inside he felt his heart thumping loudly, what might be a reply to this?
Sheen just followed her master who sat at the study table,
He gets the brush, soaks it on the ink, and starts writing.
"There's this flower which cannot survive without the sun, he will wither and die, so.. no matter where the sun is, the sunflower will follow its direction, to admire him and his greatness."
Kana smirked and silently praised himself, Does the Crown Prince think that he's just the one being corny and cheesy?
Dream on!
He folded the letter after letting it dry and tied it back to the Owl's foot.
"Don't come back Moon, thank you." Kana brushed the head of the bird before Sheen allowed it to fly.
"Sheen, I have a question." Kana sat in his bed, while Sheen was closing the window.
"Yes Young Master, what is it?"
"Since we were very close back then before I got into an accident, did I meet Prince Haii?"
Sheen shook her head and relief flowed in Kana.
"None that I remembered Young Master. Your last meeting was in the training ground before Prince Sunwoo became the crown prince."
"Thank you, Sheen, you can rest now, let's ask Mother to train and start training me again for the selection."
"Alright, Master... Have a good night's sleep." Sheen bowed at him before closing the door and left.
That night, Kana thought about a lot of things. As a soldier in the modern world, he knows little about politics and life in this Era but scheming and planning evil things are very popular stunts of the oppressors.
He remembered the top-tier Kdrama that he watched back then like Empress Ki, Queen Seondock, Jumong, Mr. Queen, and many more.
Given the fact that Prince Haii didn't show himself to Kana after Prince Sunwoo became the successor of the throne, Kana guessed that they were planning something evil and he was out of it. Or he thought so.

Crown Prince Sunwoo stops reading the scrolls when he hears Moon come back, his favorite bird messenger.
And he felt delighted when he saw a different paper on its foot.
Kana replied to his message!
He excitedly opened it, and his heart burst in happiness.
"There's this flower which cannot survive without the sun, he will wither and die, so.. no matter where the sun is, the sunflower will follow its direction, to admire him and his greatness."
He smiled widely.
He can't wait to see how Kana will join the selection.
