That day when Prince Haii visited, Kana didn't face him, Since Sheen already started the rumor of his master feeling ill and looking rather ugly.
Prince Haii left agitated and worried so as the Crown Prince who came in a hurry but blocked by Commander Yin.
"There's no need for His Highness to come and visit Kana'er, he's been busy about the selection and meeting him can only add to the rumors." Commander Yin said while bowing his head.
"Is he alright?" Prince Sunwoo said in all weariness.
"He is alright your highness."
Prince Sunwoo nodded and calm himself. He has been calmed until the day of the banquet came.
The rumors spread like wildfire and it somehow delighted the Park family. The said rumors about the daughter of General Han keep circulating around until the day of the banquet came.
This banquet is a way of welcome the attendees, specially prepared by her majesty the Empress.
Kana is all set and ready, wearing a gray flower pattern hanfu, the line pattern on its sleeves match the pink belt to secure the dress, his hair is half bunned on top and has been secured by the pin specially given by the Empress herself, his jet-black hair cascades on his back. His lips is adorned with pink tint, matching the belt's color.
Adding the drama of his clothes, he wears a gray silk thin mask covering his nose and lips while showing his almond shape Phoenix eyes.
Outside the Han Manor, Guards are their waiting with a beautiful carriage specifically made for the son of the General Han.
Even the shadow guards of Kana were prepared wearing their all black outfit.
They will follow and guard Lady Han with all their must even if it will cost their lives until the day the selection will be done.
General Han and Madame Yoon ride on a separate carriage and then their journey to the palace started.
It's a festive event once in a while the Empress is satisfied upon what she organized.
The huge emperial Hall was adorned with lanterns, sets of tables for the officials and in the front part, the candidates for Consort selection.
One by one, the officials came with their candidate daughter, and last who came was General Han with his family.
Kana walk gracefully in the hall, followed by his personal servant Sheen, and his new errand girl, Lili.
Lady Park stiffened when she and her servant saw Lili along with The Hans, but their worries brush away when they saw The lady wearing a mask.
Lady Park smirk inwardly,
'Let's see how ugly are you, Lady Han'
"My officials, Thank you for joining this banquet alongside with your families and daughters.. I hope that after tonight the heavens will bless our future Emperor a peaceful and productive Harem, let's cheers to that!" The Emperor raise his cup, and the officials followed.
Kana wanted to shiver.
Harem? They can dream. No one will have a harem.
He inwardly scoff.
Lady Park heard a whisper from her servant.

Kana snorted under his mask, this lady wanted to show off, she has a talent Kana can say, but he didn't forget that this b***h just push the play of the game button.

Lady Park, blush. "Thank you Your Grace."
The Empress felt displeased on the first Consort so she did not want to be left behind.
"General Han's daughter, I wonder what you prepare for us tonight?" she smiled sweetly.
Kana didn't know that this night is actually a talent show. This Era sucks, giving the fact that his newly found enemies wanted to distort his beautiful face and now they wanted him to be a laughing stock because they already know that he doesn't have any talent on him.
But, they are wrong.
Kana get up with grace, he stole a glance on the Crown Prince who proudly raise his head to see his future empress gracing the crowd, and but before he reach the middle part of the hall, someone tripped his feet and he fell down just in front of Lady Park's table.
Lady Park helped him in the aim of removing his mask that she thought hides a face that bears ugliness because of the powder, but woo, they are wrong.
The mask indeed fell off, Kana already know this so he prepared the most innocent expression he had, he remained his head low and he pulled a Flute from his sleeves, and without further a do, he played the saddest melody he learnt.
He raise his head before playing, making everyone enthralled by his beauty.
Everyone in the crowd got mesmerized and touch with the unfamiliar sound coming from the instrument, accompanied by his innocent look and beautiful facade.
Lady Park gritted her teeth, her fist turn into a ball, her nails digging her palm in pure hatred.
How did it happen? Why her face is perfect?!
"May I ask what's the beautiful music means Lady Han?" Crown Prince Jong Sunwoo said, his eyes didn't left the beauty while he's playing the Flute.
"The music is all about the love of the person towards this someone without fear because he knew that their love will remain despite the forbidden distance that they have, Your Highness," Kana bowed and go back to his spot.
General Han felt pleased, his son indeed came prepared.
But for Kana, the show just got started.
