The people who witnessed the performance where all open mouthed in shock.
The rumors said that the lady of Han Family was ugly, and she does not possess any talent.
What ugly?! She looks like a fairy!
What untalented?!
She played the flute with finesse and grace!
The banquet went on after Kana finished his little performance, he keeps on looking at the Crown Prince who looked so proud and even sporting a wide smile after Kana performed his piece. Kana covered his mouth with his sleeves when he tried to suppress his smile but he can't, seeing the crown prince look proud on him somewhat give Kana the happiness that he never thought he will feel in this era.
Kana glance on Prince Haii who had a dark expression, he noticed that the Crown Prince and the lady of Han family has been stealing glances on each other which made him even more mad.
Kana didn't even look at him for a long time, Prince Haii feels bad and it shows in his face so the First Imperial Consort whispered on him to smile a bit.
"Whatever you are feeling right now, set that aside. People might say that you're envious because the candidates for Consorts of your brother are all worthy. Smile my Prince."
Prince Haii force himself to smile, but his face turning sour that almost made Crown Prince Sunwoo roared in laughter.
'Serves you right, brother.'
Crown Prince Sunwoo felt really amazed on how Kana played the flute with all gracefulness. He really has the talent.
General Han and Madame Yoon received a lot of applause on how they raise a well trained and well behaved lady. Kana wanted to laugh at that because with just a single performance, they forget the circling rumors.
Kana felt tired with all this plasticity.
He never thought that a scene like this just like in the modern world actually exists.
People will praise you in front but when you turn your back, they will talk about you and even stab you.
After the banquet, the ladies are given chambers to sleep for tomorrow will be the start of the Consort selection.
While walking through the hallway, Lady Park blocked their way.
"Lady Han, nice to meet you." she tried to smile but it turned bitter when he look at Kana who became more beautiful up close.
"Same here, Lady Park." Kana answered, Sheen and Lili became alert and also the shadow guards. This woman threatened their master once. They should be vigilant.
"How come you played the flute very well? I've heard that there's nothing special on you." She spite while looking at Kana from head to toe.
The Shadow guards who's been observing on them from a far wanted to attack, specifically V, but Kana did not gave them the signal. Inwardly, V already killed the lady who's provoking their master.
Kana let out a shaky laugh.
"I can't believe that a respected lady like you Lady Park, will believe in such baseless rumors."
"Because that rumor came from your household!" Lady Park proudly said.
Kana flicked his tongue.
"Tsk, well then, believe what you want to believe Lady Park, I am tired, I will rest. Have a good sleep." Kana bowed his head a bit and walk pass them, purposely hitting Lady Park's shoulder.
"H-how dare you!" She exclaimed, rubbing her shoulder.
"Excuse me, you're blocking the way," Kana look back and bow again then he left without looking back, followed by Lili who look at her sister like she's looking at an alien, and Sheen who's raising her brow to the said servant of that arrogant lady.
Lady Park's servant Lulu, was frightened.
How does Lili turn her back at her?
She's not afraid of her anymore?
Ha! She just dig her own grave!
"This way, My lady." She guided the fuming mad lady and they get inside a room, but the moment they get in,
Loud slap was heard right after the door closes from the chambers of the ladies who came in the Palace.
Lady Park Mianhae is fuming mad, her servant just got the loudest and hardest slap in her entire life.
"You embecile! What happened?! Why she look perfect and she's talented! Did you see what she did to me?! She's belittling me! That lowly pest!"
Lulu was on the floor, feeling her numb and painful cheek. Lady Han isn't lowly, she's a daughter of a general. She wanted to say that but Lady Park will hurt her more.
"My lady..." She tried to reason out.
Lady Park glared at her.
"Get out before I can hurt you more. Sleep outside you useless pest!"
Lulu bowed and left the chambers, if her lady is mad, she will be bullied like this hence she's venting her anger towards Lili who's now filled with good luck and became the servant of Lady Han.

Kana just had the most beautiful sleep he ever had, Sheen and Lili sleep inside his chambers while his Shadow Guards take turns on guarding him.
Today is the first day. He just finished his bath after a healthy breakfast and now he's not really ready for the first round.
According to his father, General Han, the event for today is art.
Kana don't know what to do, if he will do embroidery or pottery? But it will take all take his time and according to the contest, they had specific time limit.
"Why don't you paint something, My lady?" Sheen suggested.
"But we don't have any paints. And what concept I will use? Wait, give me a minute." Kana sit on a corner and have a deep thought.
An art is an art, not just a plain painting but of course it has lessons and meaning.
Then, he created an idea.
Kana flick his finger and seven men in black came.
"RM, since you're expert on herbs, find me something that can create variants of colors, make sure that you can find them in the Imperial gardens. We have 2 hours to create 6 colors that I want to use. The rest of you, help him."
The Shadow guards disappeared in an instant.
"Lili, find me 4 pieces of woods, look in the training ground and ask for my father, tell him what I wanted.
And Sheen, fine a white cloth on my luggage, a rough one would be perfect."
Kana was left sitting on the bed alone, thinking again and again about his concept. It's a do or lost.
Lili came, and she had 4 pieces of wood in the same sizes." Thank you Lili, now Sheen, help me sew that cloth in this wood. Lili, stretch each side of the cloth."
The three of them work all together to create a back to back canvas.
Just incase Kana make a mistake, he can easily turn the other side to start again.
But, he has other plans on the other side of the canvas, it's like a cause and effect thing.
The Shadow Guards came and they help making colors like blue, green, red, and lots of yellow colors.
Gladly RM is expert in this thing.
For a trial, Kana use the excess of cloth, and he applied the colors that they made, luckily it worked!
"Thank you guys.. I can't do this without your help." Kana said after they successfully create the colors.
"There's no need to thank us my lady. This is our job." RM bowed and they all disappeared.
Sheen find some vials from the Imperial Academy of Medicine and use them for the colors, while Kana choose a good brush from his make up set.
Then they are off to go to the Imperial court.
Kana flipped his long hair, "Time for a good show."
