Adriel walked through the lobby of Crofts Hotels, Hollywood. He nodded and acknowledged the job done by the manager, Ethan.
He’d flown into Hollywood on his private jet the day before, arriving early in the evening. It was a mentally stressful trip. He made sure he drafted an email to his lawyer asking him to draw up a prenup. He was getting prepared, even though he hoped this was a precaution.
Mark Allen and Adriel were on call all through his trip from New York to Hollywood. “What the hell? Is this serious, or are you messing with me?” Mark asked.
“You should know me better by now that I never joke with my money by now” Daniel had replied, arching his brow.
“Well I've been your family lawyer for the past ten years and I know you and your family well..
Okay, I’ll get something drafted and you in a few days.”
“I don’t want anyone else working on this, it must be you. f**k the client privilege bullshit, this has to remain on high confidential level.” Mark was the owner of his firm and his rates reflected it. Adriel was happy to pay the big bucks, even for something as simple as a prenup. It was not a problem for a man with the type of wealth he had but he wasn’t risking anyone getting to know about this.
“Well Adriel, just put your mind at rest. I’ll get something to you in the next few days so we can hasten the process at your end.”
He wasn't hastening anything.
He couldn't just get married to Bridget.
Not even anyone.
“As I said earlier, this is just a precaution. I’m going to sort this mess.”
“How?” Mark asked. “Sounds like Willis has got a shotgun at your head right now."
Yeah, he has.
“But I'm a formidable opponent too, I may have been born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I also shoot with silver bullets, Mark. I can be very brutal. Never forget that.”
He wasn’t known as a dummy in business, and that wasn’t about to start now. He has never given the impression of taking s**t without retaliating.
Be it crook or means, he never loses.
His lawyer was quiet for a long moment.
“Well, all right. You have to be very careful. As your lawyer, I need to advise you about what you're about to start. We're talking about an influential politician here. But all the same I want to see the asshole taken down.
Adriel breathed in the scents of his Hollywood hotel. There was something special about it which always felt happy. Hell, it was Florida. How could it not be?
“Good morning, Mr. Crofts,” a Crofts Hotel staff member greeted him.“Oh hi,” he said, nodding with a small smile. He felt like smashing his smartphone on the floor, but there was no reason to let his employees see his frustration.
He couldn't wait for his contact at the private security firm to return his call, his mind would be at rest a bit. Because if someone was trying to mess him up,he was more than glad to do the same in return.
You can't always be a gentleman in business.
Wet Rocks Security firm which he contacted to investigate Willis was packed full of ex-Rangers, ex-Marines. Michael Black who is the CEO is a former Navy SEAL. You can guess they are the real badass for ugly s**t like this. They could run covert investigations on anybody because they have the facilities and personnel to do it. They had contacts and access to things the law didn’t, or couldn’t, touch to get the job done.
Adriel had used them for a few small jobs, but nothing as sensitive as this.
Willis was a damn senator.
He had doubts if Michael would even touch this job. Then again, this was his specialty, so he knew he would return his call soon.
“Hello sir,” Ethan, the general manager of Crofts Hotel, Hollywood, said. “How was your first night?”
Adriel hardly visited, so his visit was causing a stir.
“ It was excellent Ethan. The suite is nice,” Adriel replied, shaking his hand. “Are the meeting rooms booked as discussed for later this week?”
Ethan nodded.
“Yes sir, Bookworld arrives in three days. The large conference room has been set aside for you. It can be turned into two or four private spaces if necessary.”
Ah yes, the electronic movable walls they’d upgraded to a few years ago and it had really increased their revenue in the conference space by thirty percent.
Innovative technology.
“Are they lodged in the hotel or elsewhere?” Adriel asked.
“Here, sir.”
“That's fine then.”
“The author will be lodging here,” Ethan said.
“Author?”
“Yes, sir. The author. She wrote the hotel into her books and is
apparently supervising the project while they’re here.”
Adriel stared at the man, wondering if it was necessary for him to know this author or the books. “Which books? Do I need to know or see them?”
Ethan blushed. “Beach of Love series. They're Very popular romance books sir.”
Oh really!!!.
“Have you read them yet?” Adriel asked.
“Well, she mentions our hotel, so I just went through
them,” Ethan said, shrugging.
Liar.
Adriel almost smirked.
“Are they not those book porn romances women read these days?” Adriel asked.
Ethan laughed. “Yes sir, they are.”
Adriel rolled his eyes. That author needs to get laid if she spent her days writing that s**t. “So the author will join the meeting?”
“Yes. Brian, our new marketing manager, will brief you and manage most of the operational side of things. And you'll definitely be directing us on anything to do with reputational risk and PR sir.``
Adriel nodded.
“Ryan will pick this up with Brian once he resumes back to work next month.”
Adriel didn’t mind getting to know some details like this at times. Being CEO meant he had an overall perspective of the company and was rarely actively involved anymore. In the long run, he was responsible for everything, including reputation, which right now was more at stake than anyone could fathom.
“Yes, sir. Brian will work with the local teams here to eliminate disturbance to our guests to the nearest minimum during production and also ensure good communication to local authorities in and around the area.”
Adriel nodded.
He had confidence in the efficiency of his team, but Brian was a new employee, and he didn’t want to go into a meeting with a big organisation like Bookworld unprepared on any level.
“Set up a meeting with Harry for this afternoon,” Daniel instructed.
“Tell him to brief me on his plan and any challenges or ideas.”
Ethan nodded, and took down notes into his tablet, then looked up at his silence.
“You don't need to scare him. I just want to be well prepared for the meeting and who the people on my team are,” he added.
Ethan smiled.
Adriel had known this man for about ten years. William had taken Adriel on a tour to all their hotels in his early twenties and he spent a week here learning how things run.
Ethan was younger and had shown Adriel around. They never become friends because Adriel had always been a Crofts and was treated as such but over the years, they’d both seen each other grow up.
“He’s a very very competent person. You will definitely be impressed.”
“I know you don't employ quacks,” he said, complimenting Ethan.
Adriel's eyes moved across the hotel lobby and landed on a pair of tanned straight legs. His c**k started reacting before his eyes reached her perfect C-cup breasts or her luscious long, dark wavy hair.
Holy crap.
He already imagined how he was going to have her in his bed.
"Calm down boy." He said to himself.
This lady was dressed in a bright yellow bikini with a pair of tight denim shorts and brown flip-flops. She held a beach bag with a towel poking out. She lowered her sunglasses as she neared the entrance, ready to step outside.
“Oh, here is um, Ms Raynott, the author." Ethan tapped Adriel who was lost in his fantasy world.
"Oh ok." Adriel said.
The sexy as f**k brunette turned and lifted her sunglasses. Instead of focusing on Ethan, her eyes met Adriel's with disgust
What the hell?
She felt naked with the way Adriel was moping at her.
He couldn’t remember the last time a woman had looked at him in such a way.
Luna's eyes moved from his to Ethan and softened.
Adriel kept staring down at the stunning
woman, taking in the blue eyes that were much brighter than his own. She had naturally light brown skin and was simply f*****g gorgeous.
Adriel Crofts has never felt mesmerised by a woman all his life.
He was aroused instantly.
“Ms. Raynott, I’d like to introduce you to our chief executive, Mr. Crofts,”
Ethan said.
Adriel smiled and plugged his hands into the pockets of his Gucci shorts. This was when she would have interest in him.
Money. Wealth. Power.
Women were always attracted to it.
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Adriel,” she said, not really impressed and then reached out her hand. “Please, call me Luna.”
Adriel stared at her hand, then held her brilliant blue stare. One of her eyes twitched, he envisaged that, then he smiled and shook her hand.
All his restlessness vanished as soon as their skin touched. They both felt some tension between them.
Fuck.
Luna pulled her hand away, and they kept staring at each other in amazement.
Ethan cleared his throat.
“uhm Ms Raynott, I hope you’re enjoying your stay at my hotel. You’re Australian?” he asked.
"Yea I stay in Sydney, to be precise" she replied.
God, this lady was a seductive b***h.
Adriel already concluded he was going to f**k her, and make her scream his name as he stared into those blazing blue eyes.
He gave her his best scolding look, which seemed to have no effect. Sheglanced away with absolute disinterest, since she noticed the lustful looks Adriel has been giving her.
“Ms. Raynott is the author I mentioned earlier. The one who will be working with the team this week.”
Oh that's great.
“Well,” Adrian said, gritting his teeth. “I’m sure that will be a nice occasion.”
“Yes,” she replied, dropping her glasses back over her eyes. “Mr. Crofts. I will see you in a few days. Ethan, it's nice seeing you again. I am off to relax on the beach. See you around.``
And then she left.
Adriel watched her walk out of the large hotel entrance until she was completely out of sight. His eyes slowly moved back to Ethan.
“I think she’s jetlagged, sir,” he said, smiling. “She was friendlier last night.”
He didn’t need her to be friendly.
Just on her back with her both legs separated ready to take his c**k.
Or on her knees ready to suck him.
Luna Raynott was just the sexy distraction he has been searching for.
