Chapter Nine.

~Amber's Point of view~

She walked in all clueless, she was a very pretty girl, she had gorgeous brown hair and lovely big dark blue eyes, they practically shined the way they sparkled. I was quite jealous of them. "Are you Camari?" I heard Miss Denny ask.

I was very intrigued by her name, I have never heard a name like that before. "What kind of s**t name is that?" I roll my eyes as soon as I see Jason, he's such a tool, but he's a good friend. He always shows off for his fellow goonies. She snapped back at him instantly, which took everyone by surprise. Damn, this girl has fire, he wasn't happy, the teacher made her sit with me and I was quite excited to get to know this girl. She does not take s**t, just like me. I warn her about Jason, who he and his squad are. I can see him at the other side of the classroom, his eyes beaming at her. I warned her that she might have upset him, and then he smiled at her. I was so confused but I don't think she's in his bad books now. I walk her to our science class, she's in all of my classes. She's very smart too. I can see that we are going to be good friends. She has the same banter as I do, she just gets me so well. Jason approaches me after School, he starts asking me about Cam, I didnt really have much to tell him, only we are good friends. This doesn't satisfy him.

[Jason: "Amber, I think she might be my mate, you know?"

[Amber: "Really Jason? And why are you telling me this?"

[Jason: it' just something Levi and Brute said, " Your mate is the one who puts you in your place and who you can talk to about anything" and well I feel like she is..."

[Amber: Ohhh, okay, well I don't think she is. Jason, I put you in your place all the time and look you've come to tell me how you feel... You don't think I'm your mate, do you?"

[Jason: " That's a good point actually Ambs. You could be my mate too hahahahaha"

He giggles and walks off. I felt a sharp pain piercing my heart, the pain left me stunned. I could be his mate though. He doesn't know i'm not. He actually upset me. How was I not an option? I'm the only girl he ever goes to for advice. He didn't ask Camari for advice. I found myself arguing in my head...

Did I, did I like Jason? The question had me puzzled. No... Noo.. No, I couldn't, he's been a friend for many years. We would know, wouldn't we? Theres no way. The more I thought about it though, the more it made sense. He stopped me from getting bullied, he stopped me from dating guys, he warned them all, threated to be precise. I walked to my car and drove home. Thinking about Jason all the way home.

~Jason's P.O.V.~

Who the f**k was this chick? Telling me my names boring, telling me its plain. Jason's a great name.I thought to myself. I'm Jason f*****g King, no one and I mean NO ONE speaks to me like that, this girls going to pay, with her shitty name and her cocky attitude. I stare at her, thinking what I should do. Then she sits down next to my friend Amber. Then the weirdest thing happened. She smiles at me, I looked down thinking why? I lift my head back up and gave a small smile back, maybe she was joking. Maybe she liked me? I don't know, but both her and Amber are looking at me, and I get a tingly feeling in my stomach, as if butterflies are dancing in there. I hear the bell and get up to leave. I see Amber and Camari infront of me. "I'm going to call you Cam" I heard Amber's sweet and giggly voice say.

"I like Cam, its better than Camari" I caught myself say. I walk past them and head to my class, I could not get them out of my mind. Cam's smile, why did she smile? And why did I get butterflies? Luckily for me, I had the perfect girl to ask. Amber!! She's great with stuff like this. So girly and cringey.

I go to find her when the last bell rings, she always parks her car in the same place, so I head on over to the parking lot. I see Amber, with her gorgeous long curly red hair, cute little freckless around her nose. I shout her and she turns around. I begin to ask her some questions about Cam, when suddenly the butterflies come back. It must be, Cam must be my mate! I ask Amber if she thinks it too but she makes a good point, Amber had always been able to tell me what to do. She's always been able to calm me and make me see reason and then she said it. " You don't think I'm your mate too, do you?"

I couldn't help but laugh. She was right.

"That's actually a good point Ambs, you could be my mate hahahahaha" I laugh and walk away. Amber certainly did make me see reason, I must have read into the situation a bit too far. I'm just too eager to find my mate. I will find out on my birthday who my mate is. Roll on Saturday.
