Chapter two.

495 Words
Severe pain burned through my head and chest, high pitched ringing in my ears, it took me a moment to realise where I was - a hospital. "Nurse, NURSE" I screamed. [Nurse: " Oh, you're awake, how are you feeling dear?" She asked me kindly. "I'm fine but where are my parents?" I pleaded with her, She looks at me with sadness filled in her beautiful crystal blue eyes, "I'm sorry, they didn't make it" She says and my heart stopped, feeling as if it was about to shatter I feel dizzy, the nurse must have seen this as she rushes over to my side "Are you okay? Just try to stay awake, i'm going to fetch you some water" She did exactly that, walking in with a pitcher full of water and a tiny glass that matches. I look at her in thanks as I sip the water, still in shock. "What do you mean they didn't make it? They are wolves, how did they not make it? It was only a crash? It wasn't too serious?" Before realising I just outed the werewolf world, she replied "Keep your voice down, not everybody is a werewolf you know" I nodded my head before feeling silly, just glaring at my hands. "Yes, your parents may have been wolves child, werewolves at that, but that doesn't make them invincible, your mother and father crashed into a tree, and well... " She looked very uncomfortable with what she was about to say next, I had a pit in my stomach and I could feel my heart dropping down my body. " As bizzare as this is going to sound, dear but do you remember anything? Anything at all?" She asked me quite sympathetically. "No" I replied feeling guilty but I didn't know why. "Well, this is going to upset you and I'm sorry in advance but see your parents crashed into the tree, the tree fell and crushed the whole left side of the car" I looked at her speechless, she was joking, she had to be playing some kind of sick twisted joke. "What do you mean? I asked rather baffled and with anger in my tone of voice. "Exactly what I have said Sweetie, it's a very strange accident, it's curious, but there was no evidence of foul-play, just an awful and weird tragedy" Tears filled my eyes "please leave" I asked her, ans the moment she left tears streamed from my face pain in my throat, my vision blurred as tears filled my eyes again with sorrow and guilt. Why did I survive? How did I survive, I hated myself, why? Why MY parents? They are two of the most loving and kindest people in the world. Why on earth would they be taken away? They've lived a good life, they were good people, weren't they? They had to be! These are my parents we're talking about, they are amazing, of course they were.
