Chapter one.

Ever since I was a little girl my parents have told me how amazing it is to find your mate, they are supposed to love and cherish you unconditionally. My parents made mates sound incredible; as if only your mate can make you the happiest you can ever be, I adorored my mother an fathers relationship, every joke made anyone giggle, every hug made even the coldest of people feel warmth, every kiss felt like a star had burst in the sky and you had been blasted with a gust of warm wind. I've never seen love the way my parents loved but I always felt love, any room I walked into was warm and cosy, they made each other happy, which made me happy, I couldn't wait to find my mate. We where in the car heading to my Uncle and Aunts lake house, I couldn't wait to see my cousins, I hadn't seen them for the last three years and it was becoming painful as I missed them dearly. We've never gone more than a few months without visiting them, I constantly asked why this was, and I always got the same old answer, your uncle has Alpha priorities, he has a lot of issues with the pack. It was fair enough, my uncle was a family man and his pack was family, if they had problems we didnt mind waiting. I was so excited to to see my cousins again, we weren't like regular cousins, we were more like siblings, I found myself jumping up and down in the car harldy keeping in my eagerness. I have seven cousins, five of which were boys and two were girls, all of which were significantly older than me by a couple or years or more. I get along with all of them wonderfully, but with the guys a lot more, you see i was practically raised by the boys and that made me a tomboy and I couldn't care less as to what anyone thought of me. These were my cousins on my dad's side. My four male cousins in order of age are Thomas he was twenty-two, Eric and Kurt being twins at twenty and Owen being nineteen. The girls are Chloe at twenty and Molly at nineteen. All of them had found their mates, My dad tells me. I had one Aunt on my mother's side who I'd only met a handful of times, she always caused my mother to cry and they hated eachother with a passion. _____ I was in the car with my mum and dad, mother always sat at the back behind my dad because she was car sick, if it got too much she could always lay down. Me and my dad would blast out our favourite songs and scream our vocal cords dry, I loved road trips, we would run to our destination but I haven't yet shifted into my wolf form, not until I'm Eighteen. The drive was peaceful, it was quiet late at night, scary, but I never had to worry about anything with my dad around. He was strong and caring, so was my mother. They had planned our whole future together after I turned 18. We didn't have to drive anymore... Which was good news for my mum, she hated driving. We were just going to run to meet my cousins in our wolf forms, it was going to be perfect. I looked behind my to see my mum resting her head against the window, my dad singing the songs with a big smile on his face, before the smile left his face and up crept fear, the car swerved left to right and left to right before finally hitting something hard. Everything around me faded and glistened black.
