You do not need to have a reason to do the right thing. Doing the right thing with reason makes it questionable. You do not need to have reason to be full of compassion. Someone offends you, it is human to feel hurt, but if such person who hurts you realizes and make it up to you, allow compassion to drive your will to forgive. Whatever you do not allow, cannot drive you. What drives your will are the things you have permitted into your heart that incident as thought in impulse. The implication of forgiveness is even much more positive on you than it is on your offenders. Life, relationships and marriage are not void of offences, but forgiveness is the only defence. God expects us to be patient and not to be quick to offences.
