Chapter 5. I am trapped.

Alpha Fabian’s P.O.V 

Everyone was seated in the dining room, awaiting my arrival. I took my seat quickly as I had too much work to do and then Elaine entered with the food and other omegas. Her hands were trembling as always in fear when she was serving me. I growled at her and she flinched away. It was a warning for her not to mess up and to be careful.

“Sorry Alpha…” Elaine quietly said and moved away. Luna Wilma did not let her serve her and another omegas served her instead. Wilma never liked her food or anything touched by Elaine. Everyone started eating and I was talking to Beta Dale when I noticed something. Elaine was serving Lewis his food and he was touching her ass. She was trying to remove his hand, but he was smiling at her. Natasha seemed to be enjoying her discomfort and my Wilma too.

“LEWIS!!!” I shouted and slammed my palm on the table with a growl. Everyone was startled and looked at me. Lewis moved his hand away from Elaine.

“Yes… father…” He stuttered and I glared at him.

“Quickly eat your food and f**k off!” I commanded, gritting my teeth in anger as he understood what I was trying to say.

“Yes, father.” He said and Wilma glared at me in anger as I shouted at Lewis.

“ELAINE!” I called her and she ran towards me quickly.

“Don't show your face in the dining room from now on, or I will cut both your legs!” I told her and she immediately ran inside the kitchen. I rose out of my chair, having lost my appetite.

“Dear, you haven’t eaten anything.” Wilma said. I glared at her silently as I left the dining room.

I walked to my office with Beta Dale closely following.

“What’s wrong Alpha?” He asked and I looked at the paper laying on my desk.

“I need to get rid of Elaine as soon as possible. Preferably before Lewis becomes Alpha or everything will be ruined. His lust for Elaine is not going to be placated for long. I can see that his feelings for her are blocking his better judgement. He’s not even trying to look for his mate,” I told him and he just nodded his head in understanding.

“What is your order Alpha?” Dale asked and I took a deep breath.

“Just find a way to make Elaine disappear! No one should know that there is even a girl named Elaine or we will be doomed.” I told Dale.

He nodded his head but then his eyes fell on the paper on the desk.

“Alpha….” He said, shivering in fear and his eyes widened.

“Did…someone…I mean…Elaine…” He stammered, not able to come up with a sensible question to ask because of fear and put his hand over his mouth.

“Yes, they are.” I replied and tore the paper into pieces and threw it into the trash can so that no one would find out. No one will ever know about it.

“Dale, this stays between us.” I told him and he quickly nodded his head.

Elaine’s P.O.V

Since early this morning, the pack has been crazy with everyone running around. All of the girls were jumping around in happiness because today was Alpha King's birthday and they all wanted to be the chosen mate of the King. No one was able to sit still due to their excitement. I was the only one who was working, running from room to room, delivering items to people and then immediately receiving another order.

Even after making breakfast and lunch, I did not have any time to just sit. Not even for a minute as I had to go to the market to get make-up items for Natasha again and again. If she did not like any of the items that I brought back for her, she would send me back and ask me to bring more items. I knew she was being a pain in my ass deliberately.

My legs were starting to get sore. She sent me back to the market at least ten times. It was now five in the evening and I was exhausted. The good thing was that Marvin had left some fruit in my room, like he had promised, and that gave me the nourishment to keep up my strength and keep me alive.  I did not eat all the fruit alone, but rather, I shared it with the other omega girls because if I am hungry after not having food for two days, then so are they.

"ELAINE!!!" Natasha called me again and I quickly ran to her room, filling her glass with the juice she had requested. As I entered the room, I first placed the juice on top of her side table and saw that she was again taking all of her clothes out of the cupboard and looking at everything, trying them on and taking them off. She has gone crazy with the thought of going to the mating ball and becoming the King's chosen mate.

I’ve never seen the King before, but I have heard that he is very handsome and women give themselves to him willingly. He has a bad temper and people say he never lies and brutally kills anyone that he detects any type of deception in. I do not know why they are so eager to become his Queensince he seems so dangerous. I get chills thinking about his brutality. I can’t understand why anyone would choose a chosen mate over their true mate, even if that chosen mate is the King.

“WHY THE HELL ARE YOU STARING AT MY CLOTHES LIKE A MORON?” Natasha shouted at me and shoved me out of her way going towards her dresser.

"Why did you call me?" I asked her quietly as I had a lot of work left to do in the kitchen. She turned towards me and looked me up and down.

“I am taking you with me, but you will not enter the mating ball.” Natasha said and the ground seemed to drop from under my feet. That means that I won’t be able to go inside and find my mate. Then why is she even taking me with her?

“You’ll just need to stand outside of the palace and wait for me to come out. No matter how long it takes, I might not even come out. If the King chooses me, he will be f*****g me senselessly in his bed.” She said, rubbing both of her legs, lost in her fantasy.

"Because of you being a slave and just waiting outside, you won’t need to wear a beautiful dress to the mating ball. There will only be Princes and Princesses and members of noble families. I don’t think that your mate will be there because your mate will be an Omega, slave or must be dead. So don’t waste your time looking for him." She said laughing, but this caused my wolfand I too much pain.

The word ‘dead’ was like a curse. What if Natasha's words were true and he is dead? My life has always been unlucky. Maybe the moon goddess didn’t want to bless me with a mate. I’ll be a slave my whole life if he doesn’t come and take me away. I was feeling like crying.

"You will go wearing these torn clothes." She ordered me and I nodded my head. 

"I am heading to the palace in half an hour. You will go there on foot." She said and my jaw dropped in horror because the palace was not near the pack. It was too far. It was surrounded by dangerous woods that housed many scary animals. Not only animals, but rouges too. Nowadays there are too many rogue attacks around those woods.

“But how will I get there alone? Please take me with you. I am scared.” I begged her and she chuckled.

“Don’t think that you are beautiful or special. If someone grabs you in the dark then he must be a rogue who wants a quick and easy f**k, that’s it. If that happens just let him have his way with you and then continue on to the palace. If I do not see you outside of the palace, I will kill you.” She warned me, showing me her big, red angry eyes. I just nodded my head.

"Now, don't just stand there with your ugly face. It will just ruin my day. f**k off!" She barked, making a disgusted face and I left her room. As I was walking towards the hall, I saw Luna. She was sitting on one of the sofas looking at me. I just quickly headed towards the kitchen to hide there.

“Elaine!” She called my name and I stopped. It was like she was waiting for me.

“Yes Luna.” I said, not getting too close to her. I was not allowed to let my shadow fall on them so I made sure to keep my distance.

“As you are aware, we are going to the palace tonight.” She stated, raising her brows and I nodded my head.

“Good, then you do not have to roam in the house like a chicken with their head cut off. While we are gone you will be catching up on all of the housework: cleaning, cooking and whatever else it is that you do. Do you understand?” She asked, looking at her long nails as I tried to hide my panic. She is asking me to do all the housework, but Natasha wants me to be at the mating ball, outside of the palace waiting for her. What should I do now? I can not disobey either of them.

“YOU b***h!! HOW DARE YOU GIVE ME THE SILENT TREATMENT!!!” Luna shouted and I jumped in fear. I forgot to reply to her as I was lost in my thoughts.

“Yes… Luna.” I quickly replied, her eyes red in anger. She got up from the sofa and I moved far away from her way so that she would go without slapping me. I was lucky she did not beat me.

Suddenly I saw Lewis coming towards me. He had just come out of his room. He was also wearing an expensive, beautiful suit that showed that he was the son of a rich man. He was also going to mating ball. His evil aura, dominance and dirty mind were clearly displayed on his face. He looked me up and down. I just lowered my eyes and head in submission and tried my best not to pay attention to him, but he just blocked my path and didn’t move.

“Please let me go.” I quietly said to him as his index finger traveled towards my chin, forcing me to look up at his face.

“How can I let you go when I have been craving you so?” He asked in a deep and dangerous tone and I felt his arousal in the air. I immediately tried to move away from him in fear. I was shaking so badly as my wolf could feel what he was thinking about me. Suddenly my hair was in his clutches and he pulled my head back violently.

“Don’t forget what the f**k Natasha said. Show your ass outside of the palace tonight or you will be f****d by me in front of the whole pack.” He whispered into my ear and I clenched my eyes shut.

“Do you understand?” He asked, pulling my hair even more. I cried out in pain and held my hair.

“Yes.” I replied and he let go of my hair.

“Good bitch.” He said, running his hand through my hair softly, smacking my ass hard and leaving the pack house to head to the mating ball. I could still hear his evil laugh through the door. I just kept my hand over my mouth to hold back my sobs. What am I supposed to do? If I obey Luna then I will be killed by Lewis and Natasha and vice versa. I’m trapped.
