Chapter 8: So Many Alphas, So Little Time

Chapter 8 

PATRICIA’S POV

The next morning, we arrived at school and got off the bus. We were early so we decided to stand outside for a little while and talk to our friends. I was standing there in between Damon and Alpha Vin when I saw the bus from the Full Moon Pack pull up and drop off students. I watched as Alpha Derrick stepped from the bus. His eyes immediately finding mine. He smiled and winked at me. I smiled at him. Next thing I know he is walking towards us. Alpha Vin and Damon notice him getting close to us. “Que the boy drama,” my wolf, Morgan, sighs. Jut then I hear Alpha Derrick say my name and two loud possessive growls respond. The three of them start posturing in front of each other. My wolf rolls her eyes at them. I did not see when the New Moon Pack’s bus arrived, but I felt a hand reach down and take mine in his. I turned to see Alpha Zayden standing next to me holding my hand while the three other boys continued growling and flexing their muscles at each other.

“Come with me,” Alpha Zayden whispered in my ear. “Ok,” I said. “Yes Sir,” my wolf said seductively. I rolled my eyes at her. I could tell she was “in to” Alpha Zayden already. She could feel his strong aura of power radiating off him and so could I. Just as he started leading me away the other three boys noticed, and I thought all hell was about to break loose.

Loud growls and snarls were heard along with yelling. Pushing and shoving followed. We had the attention of all the students in the vicinity. I was embarrassed that 4 boys were fighting over me. I did not even bother turning around to look at the girls. I just assumed they were all fuming because I was, once again, getting too much Alpha male attention.

I heard a hard punch land and lifted my head to see Alpha Zayden had punched Alpha Vin. “You can’t stop me from just talking to her. s**t man, you don’t own her,” he roared. Then he turned to me. “Does he own you?” he asked. “No, of course not, but his Father is my Alpha,” I replied. “Are you a couple? Are you boyfriend and girlfriend?” he asked. I thought for a moment about our kiss last night but then decided to say no. Vin had made zero attempt to indicate we were anything more than pack member and Alpha’s son. “So, I’m not crossing a line by trying to speak to you, am I?” he asked me. “Not to my knowledge but I guess I would have to ask my Alpha,” I replied.

Alpha Zayden turned to Alpha Vin and boomed, “There is no reason I can see why I shouldn’t be allowed to talk to Patricia especially considering what I need to speak to her about us important to me.” “Tell me what the reason is and maybe I will allow it,” Alpha Vin said with a smirk on his face. “It doesn’t concern you,” Alpha Zayden growled back at him.

A few teachers came over to break up the arguing and herded us all inside. Once inside, Alpha Zayden roared at Alpha Vin telling him that this was not over and he would be speaking to his father, The Alpha of New Moon about it. Then he left to go over to the Sophomore side of the high school. I could tell how upset he was that he did not even get to speak to me thanks to Vin.

Alpha Derrick was still standing there unnoticed by Damon and Alpha Vin. He snaked his arms around my waist and spun me around quickly you face him. Then he crashed his lips down onto mine and pulled me into a deep kiss. I heard Alpha Vin loudly growl and begin to pull him off me. Alpha Derrick just laughed at him and ran down the hallway towards his own locker. Alpha Vin gave me an angry glare, but I put my hands up and told him it was not my fault. “It happened to fast for me to react,” I shyly told him. He grabbed my hand in his and led name to class.

We were only in class for about half an hour when we all got called to the Principal’s office. “Oh boy, here we go,” Morgan sighed. I hummed in agreement. “This isn’t going to go well,” I thought to myself as Alpha Vin and Damon flanked me and guided me towards the office.

The three of us arrived first with Alpha Derrick arriving a few minutes after us. His beta was with him. I assumed it was his beta by his size because I had never met him before. It was nearly ten minutes later before Alpha Zayden arrived with his Beta and Gamma in toe. “Oh Goddess, they brought back up,” Morgan said with concern.

About an hours’ worth of yelling and arguing later, no resolutions have been made and the boys were all still angry. All our parents were called. My brother, Patrick, was also called into the Principal’s office to verify the need for Damon to be my bodyguard, again, which I found strange because I know Alpha Vincent, Vin’s father, and my Alpha, had already spoken to the Principal when our schedules and lockers were synched.

We were all sent back to class while waiting for all our parents to arrive. Three strong, powerful, upset Alpha’s and Luna’ in the same room sounded like a nightmare to me. Good thing we all had a pack treaty and were allies. I was not worried about my Dad. He knew I did not lead these boys on or do anything wrong.

DAMON’S POV

This is NOT good! I knew I should have gone to Patrick Sr. last night and told him about the other two Alphas, but Vin had me involved with “Operation Spy on Patricia.” He was becoming a man possessed when it came to her. I do not think it is just about keeping the gifted wolf safe and, in this pack, anymore. I think he is developing feelings for her. Patrick Sr. is probably going to make me run 5 miles when I get home as a punishment.

PATRICK JR.’S POV

I was mad when I was called in to the Principal’s office but when I walked in and saw my sister surrounded by men, I got even more angry. What is going on here? Were they doing something to her? My wolf, Balthazar, was seething with anger and ready to fight. I did not care if they were Alpha’s or not, if they were messing with my sister then it was about to be on! Good thing the Principal told me that our father was on his way. I would wait to follow his lead. I made Damon get up and move down a chair while I took the seat nest to my sister.

PATRICK SR.’S POV

I was incredibly angry when I got the call from the Principal at my son and daughter’s school. Neither Damon nor Patricia had told me there was anything to be concerned over. I had no idea she was being approached by the sons of our allies and surrounding packs. My daughter never had any issue with boys before. Is it because she is gifted now? I was glad when My Alpha mind-linked me. I felt somewhat better knowing he was coming with me to sort this out since his son was also involved.

ALPHA VINCENT’S POV

I was seething with rage when I got off the phone with the high school Principal. How dare those other two boys fight with my son. The heir to my throne. This pack’s future Alpha. Our packs are allied. They should know better. This could start a war between our packs and for what? One she-wolf? Now do not get me wrong, I am incredibly happy to have a Gifted wolf in my pack, but I was not happy with the trouble it was causing. This gets ironed out ASAP before one of our sons gets hurt.

ALPHA VIN’S POV

While I am extremely angry about yet another Alpha vying for Patricia’s attention, I am also angry that she is letting them. I saw that she accepted their friends request on her social media and I am sure she has given both her phone number too. Is she trying to make me jealous? Was she serious about having a crush on more than one boy? I thought I was doing my father a favor by making sure nobody could sway her to leave our pack; however unlikely that may be. Deep down I know she would never leave her father and brother behind. At least not until she was old enough to find her mate. I am starting to believe that she may be my mate. I have heard that in rare case an Alpha can tell sooner than age 18. My wolf, Maximus, keeps egging me on when she is around. He really wants her, but why? Is it because she is gifted or because she is my mate? If it is the latter, then why hadn’t he noticed her before now? I think I am going to ask Patricia to go for a run tonight and see if Maximus can talk to Morgan. Maybe she can provide some answers. I hope my father is not too mad at me. I was just trying to defend her honor, I think. Hmm?

ALPHA DERRICK’S POV

I am sitting in the Principal’s office stewing. Every time I try to talk to Patricia, I must deal with these two jerks trying to keep me away from her. They are so afraid that I might steal away their “gifted” wolf.

I will admit that at first the thought had crossed my mind. I thought I would be doing my pack a favor if I could seduce her into running away from her pack. Then I learned she has family in the Dark Night Pack and knew it would not be in HER best interest to try to do that. I have had two kisses from her now and I think it is safe to say I have an official crush on her. Maybe I should ask her to be my girlfriend? I want to ask her to go to the Homecoming dance with me, but I figure Alpha Vin has already forced her to go with him. I am still going to ask her though. I still want to try to be her date. My Dad will probably be angry with me when he gets here. I hope he will understand me.

ALPHA DIEDRICK’S POV

I was angry when I got off the phone with Derrick’s school Principal. I had no idea why he was fighting with the other local pack’s sons. I was not sure if he started the fight or if one of the other boys did but either way, I was going to have to go down to the school to keep the other two Alphas from hurting my son. This was not how I wanted to spend my morning.

ALPHA ZACHARY’S POV

Why in the world was my son over on the Freshman side fighting with two Freshman boys? He is a Sophomore. This did not make any sense at all. I was not looking forward to driving into the high school. I was busy, and this was going to cause me to get even further behind in my work. I had no choice. I had to get to the bottom of things. My son was bigger than these other two younger boys so I knew he would likely get into trouble. I drove the entire way wondering why he had done this. I assumed it was because of a female. He was at that age now.

ALPHA ZAYDEN’S POV

All I wanted to do was talk to her for a few minutes to arrange a time and place to speak further about her gifts…and mine. Unfortunately, Alpha Vin is so possessive of her that he could not even allow me a few minutes of her time. I feel disrespected as an Alpha and challenged as a man. That little punk is going to stand down and let me have my time with her, one way or another. I will have my time with her, or I will knock him out.

I had no clue that Alpha Derrick was also interested in the girl. I did not want to fight with any of them but, being Alphas, they had to take it as a challenge. I could have hurt both badly, but it would have exposed my gifts and most likely start a war. So, I settled for the one punch I landed on Alpha Vin. I had no quarrel with Alpha Derrick other than the fact that he was apparently after Patricia’s attention too. Alpha Vin: on the other hand, had always been a cocky little jerk in my opinion.
