Liv has just arrived home exhausted after the day she just had. Through the fault of her boss who sees her as the most competent in his company and therefore for this reason he would never stop giving her missions as difficult as each other and now because of one of them, she almost lost her life if this man was not there. This man who has not left his mind since the moment he saved him by risking his life. She dreams so much of seeing him again in order to thank him and above all admire his perfect beauty. She even wonders if this kind of man really exists because she had never seen such a man in the street, not even once.
“Finally you’re back, Liv. I thought I was going to put out a wanted poster because you’ve been out since morning.”
“Do you want to know the culprit? Go ask my boss. This man does not hesitate to tell me that he sees in me a future for his company and that is certainly why he keeps giving me work as if I no longer have a life,” she complains.
“At least that way, you know you’ll always have your job, which pays really well.”
Aurora is absolutely right. At the end of each day, she sleeps with her eyes tightly closed because she knows that she will always return to her job the next day as her boss had promised her. A nice man who immediately considered her his daughter and she also benefits from his advice.
“You have to go take a shower and I’ll take care of the cooking.”
She goes to kiss her roommate on the cheek and leaves towards her room. She is so lucky to have him because she is very understanding of him. She is more than a sister to her and does everything possible not to do anything that could hurt her.
When she is in the shower the cold water running down her milky skin brings to life the images of her day and even more so the part where she suddenly stopped her car and decided to cross the road to go find this man even though she didn't know him.
She doesn't understand at all how such a thing could be possible and it troubles her more and more.
She tried everything to get these images out of her head but it was impossible. She finishes her shower and once she gets dressed, she goes to meet Aurora.
“Want to tell me about your day?”
“I don’t know what’s happening to me, Aurora. But now is not the time. We should have dinner now because we're going to work tomorrow. My problems would have to wait.”
She pulls out the chair and sits down. She knows she's not going to sleep like she has for some time now but this girl has done so much for her that she doesn't want to bother her with her problems anymore. She expects them to eat when Aurora pulls out her chair and sits next to her.
“Liv, we’ve been living together for three years now and have always supported each other. You know perfectly well that it gives me pleasure to listen to you and help you. I know that for some time now you have been having nightmares about your family that you don’t even know…”
“Please don’t tell me about my family because I still don’t understand why they decided to give me up for adoption. My grandfather only died when I was fifteen, so why didn't he keep me with him when he came to see me every time? I hate them all and no matter what message the dreams I've been having for almost a week carry, I don't want to see them anymore, neither him nor my father. I want them to stop visiting me and if they think it’s important, they can just come back and see me like that,” she shouts.
“But they can’t come see you because they’re no longer in this world, Liv."
Of course she knows that they couldn't come back, but she doesn't know why it was only at this precise moment that they decided to appear in her dreams? She knows deep down that her family was hiding a very big secret and only her name had started to catch her attention because she has the same last name as her grandfather. There was nothing normal about this. She had initially believed that her grandfather was certainly a mafioso or an outlaw, but after his disappearance, she had searched his mansion and had not seen anything compromising in his home, which left the mystery hanging, making her sick at the same time. She loves her job because not being there helps her forget who she is since she doesn't even know who she really is.
“Liv, darling, let’s forget about your family and tell me what happened today.”
“I had left for an errand from my boss as usual but on a deserted road I stopped. I feel like something compelled me to do this. He saved me from a car that was going to run me over and to this day I don’t understand how. Even Splash wouldn't have saved me despite his speed so I would like to understand what happened and especially why I decided to go to him.
Aurora has no answer to give her friend because what she tells her is not normal. She pours him half a glass of water and hands it to him. Maybe with this, she will feel better and find her ideas again.
“What was he like?” Aurora asks in an attempt to divert the conversation.
“Beautiful as a god!” Liv said dreamily. “He was so perfect that I will spend my whole life dreaming of him you know. He’s the perfect man that every woman dreams of.”
“There’s no such thing as a man, Liv. he can't be this beautiful, this perfect and save your life. It doesn’t exist, I assure you.”
“I swear I do and you have to believe me. That’s it, you dreamed in broad daylight,” Aurora told him before going into the kitchen.
Liv doesn't understand why she doesn't want to believe her. She didn't dream at all because this man was very real. He held him in his arms for a few seconds and everything was magical.
“Liv, I would like to believe you but there can only be one explanation,” Aurora told her as she arrived.
She knows her friend would be good at finding explanations for this so she can't wait for her to tell her.
“Your dreams have a meaning to which the answer lies inside you but you do everything not to look because you are afraid of what you will discover so this man was a way for your family to communicate with you because you would never have approached a stranger like that. Liv somewhere your souls are linked and you must search for it to understand what is happening.”
Search for it? This idea is tempting but even if she does it, it would simply be because she wants to realize that she was not hallucinating on this route. She doesn't know anything about him but she remains hopeful. If she's destined to see him again then it's going to happen.
“That’s enough now! It's time to eat because you need to get a lot of rest tonight. You haven’t been drinking but I fear your appearance tomorrow.”
Her bad appearance would not be because of what she experienced during the day but because of her nightmares which multiply as if she is guilty of something.
