She took a deep sigh, leaned back and looked up at the ceiling, closing her eyes. “ What do you think about Victor?”She asked, opening her eyes with a sad look. “ Am not sure I've never really talked to him.” I answered her honestly.”Well I will be going to live with him in a week. But before I do I want to set you free and want to see if you would be my assistant instead of my blood slave. My eyes opened wide and I just looked at her stunned. I didn't know what to say. But I did know I always wanted to be with her. “ I'll follow you anywhere,” I finally answered her. Her eyes filled with happiness at this. “Thank you Jess,” she replied as she hugged me. “ May I ask why you're going to live with him,” I asked looking down at my hands.”Because we are betrothed to one another.” She replied backings out of the hug. Her eyes looked sad again. I just want to take her back into my arms. I hated seeing that look in her eyes. She was too beautiful to be looking that sad. “ I didn't know you were engaged,” I finally said, trying to hide the feeling I had for her. “ Ya well my father made the decision when I was 16. But you better go finish the chores my father gave you,” She told me, her eyes still looking sad. I got up and walked over to the door. As I opened the door I looked back at her. “ If you don't love him or want to be with him you don't have to be. You deserve to be with someone you love.” I said with a smile and left the room. That night after my shower I headed back to my room. As I got there I noticed my door was cracked open. I walked in slowly and looked around. I didn't see anything or anyone. They must have done a room check today and accidentally left it open. I thought to myself. I shut my door and walked over to my bed. As I was about to sit down I was quickly pinned. “ Selene, what are you doing?” I asked when I saw it was her. Her legs were on each side of me, her hand pinning my hands down. “ You think I haven't noticed how you look at me these last few years,” She whispered in my ear.
