THE TALISMANS

I conjured a sword

"So how do we get out of this seats cause this monsters look like they mean business". Christine added.

" I know I've been acting stupid lately". Said Arthur. " but I kind of have a plan. But it might be a little dangerous".

"If it involves using arms. Then I'm sorry to say these. But I'm out, my hands need to heal first.' Carolyn said.

"Yeah mine too". Christine added.

"We need to do this for Robert and even if I just knew the guy for like only hours or so. I'll feel guilty for the rest of my life knowing we could have helped him". Arthur said.

Christine and Carolyn sighed. "Okay what do we do".

"Simple. Look at them. They act like if they loose concentration on whatever they are doing. The compulsion will break so we just need to distract them".

"Oh what a great plan and how exactly are we supposed to do that".

Arthur ignored her voice and replied. "The rest of the class can't see them right. What if we make someone fight. The monsters would probably want to know what the commossion is all about".

Christine nodded. "It's worth a try. But how exactly do we do that".

"You guys keep thinking". They turned to look at Carolyn. They saw her hands move swiftly and like she lifted a huge chair it landed on a boy sitting infront of her.

Christine gasped. This girl is so crazy. She's actually using her powers.

They watched as the poor boy screamed out in fear and pain. The monsters looked distracted. They looked like they were fighting between looking and concentrating.

"Continue it's working". Arthur said. Carolyn moved her hands towards another empty chair and an unknown wind lifted it and it landed on a girl's head. The girl shreiked in pain they all looked at the monsters and they seemed to be saying something. Like they were arguing about something.

"I think they are arguing on what to do". Christine said. "Pick up another chair Carolyn".

"I can't my hands are starting to get worse. I feel like my blood is draining". Carolyn replied.

"Just try. Try. And maybe if we ever agree to work together. You would be the leader". Christine said.

That seemed to have triggered Carolyn cause the next chair she picked up landed on three people at the same time and they shouted in pain.

The compulsion broke as the monsters looked to see what was causing all the screams and immediately Arthur, Christine and Carolyn stood up and ran out of the class. The monsters followed them immediately. And they seemed to curse as they ran after them.

"Where do we go. Robert didn't tell us where he is". Christine said as they rounded a corner.

"Why don't we loose the monsters before Robert." Carolyn said and they all nodded.

"So we trick them. You go that way. I'll go that way. And Arthur that way". Carolyn pionted at three different sides. "We will meet in the school court. They are plenty of weapons to use there". With that each took their roots and the monsters also divided themselves and ran after them.

Arthur ran and rounded a corner. God knew he never prayed. But oh Lord he needed help and he wasn't ready to die now. Help me oh Lord. Help me I don't want to die now. Not today not tomorrow. Show me the way. Arthur shouted as he ran. And like he knew what to do and what to say. He shouted. FLAVIO. the sword appeared in his right hand and immediately caught fire. And like he knew what to do next. He stopped running. He turned and the monster continued running towards him and then Arthur striked. He lifted the sword and the flames on the sword formed a line and ran across the monster cutting him in half. He looked on. And then he came to his senses as the monster turned into dust.

"Oh my God, oh my God I killed a monster. I killed a monster." He raised up the sword. Was the name Flavio.

"No its Flavius".

He stopped smiling when he heard the voice.

"Did you just talk"

"I was wondering when you were going to figure that out"

Arthur groaned. Great, another situation to look forward to. He ran to the school court. Maybe the others needed help. His sword disappeared as he ran. Now he knew the name to call if he needed to summon it. So cool.
