The Siren's Curse

It was the night of a crimson red full moon. A house was engulfed in flames, caused by the Curse a Siren made on John, the man she had fallen in love with. The Siren Cursed his wife Mary to become Barren. Unable to carry future children as well as any that may already be inside her womb. Everyone sat back as the flames engulfed the whole house with everything in it to ash. Not a single thing or body was found. This became known as the Blood Moon curse, which nobody is allowed to speak of. A month after that, Mary was rushed to the pack hospital feeling stabbing pains in her stomach as well as severe bleeding. Once everything was back under control, the doctor discovered that she was in fact 6 months pregnant and with 2 pups no less. The whole pack was amazed to hear the news and called for a celebration of the future Alpha. The pregnancy was a difficult one. Mary had to make sure she ate proper meals as well as plenty of bed rest. The whole pack pitched in to ensure a full pregnancy and safe delivery. The Beta Damien as well as his wife June had to pick up the slack that was caused by Mary's bedrest. Two months went by and Mary woke up screaming in pain. It was so awful she couldn't even be moved, let alone transported to the Hospital. The Doctor had to come to the pack house at a moment's notice with at least the bare minimum equipment for a successful delivery. Upon examining Mary, the doctor noticed that she could not have a natural birth. She needed a C-section to quickly get the babies out. Time passed by slowly until finally a baby's cry was heard. It's a boy, the doctor exclaimed. Alpha and Luna were so excited and asked about the other baby. The doctor motioned for John to come over out of sight of Mary. Upon seeing his child for the first time, John gasped at how the child looked. The doctor informed him that immediate surgery needed to take place if they were going to save the surviving child. Once Mary woke up, John carefully explained that, although originally two children were there, they seemed to have become conjoined twins, of which only one survived. Their baby was now in surgery and they could see him as early as tomorrow evening. John rubbed Mary's back as she cried until she finally fell back asleep. Once John noticed Mary was sleeping peacefully, he himself started to silently cry. Damien walked in, catching John wiping off his tears. Damien immediately turned around to pretend nothing had happened as he asked if he should come back at a later time. John roughly explained to Damien that he would have to leave the pack to him for awhile until his wife and baby are recovered from their surgeries. A few years passed with regular daily life, until it was now June, Beta's wife, who was at the hospital having their first pup. They turned out to have a girl and named her Eliza. Luckily, there were no complications and Damien was able to return to his duties immediately. Since Mary and June were always with each other, their children in turn grew up together. Ken and Eliza did almost everything together. However, knowing he was disfigured, Ken always made sure to wear baggy clothing that covered him completely. The only thing you could ever make out was his adorable face, on which he always wore his hood up. Eliza was always curious, but knew it was a touchy subject, so she kept her mouth shut. There were two things in the Pack that were forbidden from speaking of. The first was what used to be a house, but it is just a plot of Ash where nothing is able to grow. The second is Ken's birth and why he was so self-conscious about his body. As time went on and they grew up, Ken was already in his first year of high school, while Eliza was only a grade behind due to being a genius, and skipped a grade. Eliza was afraid to stay in the Beta's family quarters by herself when her parents were out. As soon as her parents told her they would be gone for a few days, she decided to have a pajama movie night with Ken. Getting permission from John, she headed to Ken's bedroom. Nobody was in the room, then she heard the shower running, so she decided to get everything ready and surprise him. Little did either of them know this would be the day that drastically changed their friendship. After hearing the shower cut off, she hid herself to surprise him. Once Ken stepped out of the shower and dried himself off, he wrapped the towel around his waist and walked into his bedroom. Eliza jumped out and yelled" Surp…..she stopped mid word seeing Ken's body for the first time. His dark brown hair was still a little wet, which made his deep blue eyes glow like Sapphires. He was only wearing a towel which was so low on his waist you could see the V imprint. He was extremely muscular, very well toned, and his light skin was still glistening with some water. When she looked from his torso back to his head she saw it. There was a giant scar across his left shoulder. As she was standing there dazed, Ken yelled at her to get out now! Nobody has seen his body. He felt so ashamed and embarrassed that he locked the door as she left and just leaned on the door as he slid down, not sure what to do with himself. He was convinced she would desert him. She must be disgusted. She was so sickened by my appearance that she froze. Jack, his wolf, was trying to calm down Ken and try to convince him that there was nothing wrong with his body. On the other side of the door Eliza just stood there dumbfounded. Never had she had any kind of physical attraction to any man, let alone her best friend that she grew up with. He was practically a brother to her. But now she was starting to imagine him. Eliza snapped back to reality when she realized Mary was talking to her. Hearing her son Ken yell, Mary ran to his room to check on Eliza. When she saw her sitting there dazed she got worried. Mary urged Eliza to come sit at the table and have a hot cup of tea. Once Eliza was back to reality and able to calm down and organize her thoughts she just looked questioningly at Mary. Finally, Eliza told Mary about him wearing only a towel and yelling at her to get out. After listening, Mary decided it would be best to explain about Ken's birth to her. Ken was supposed to have a twin, but along the way their bodies were conjoined. At birth, it was a single body, but with two heads. However, the other was stillborn, so the doctors had to perform surgery to remove the parts of the other child so Ken could survive. He sees it as a major deformity, but in reality it's just a few scars here and there. After talking awhile and seeing as Ken wasn't leaving his room or letting anyone in, Mary offered the guest room to Eliza, which she fully accepted, as she by no means wanted to stay in her family's quarters alone.
