Once upon a time in kaio village in moroto. There lived a man called longat.He was 25yrs of age very ease man thar every lady in the village wished to have coz of his personality and behaviour.He claimed to be the son to the late clan leader Peter longa who died during hunting in the near by village of tela forest and his tragic death surprised everyone from his village .He was known as a strong and good leader that his tragic death was a great loss to the village he lived alone at a time with no one .He death was mourned by the villagers and the chief vowed to investigate the root cause of his death and anything that happened to longa was going to be known with time .From that day of longaz death the chief always sent the guards to the forest everyday till one day they met a young boy hunting and the guards arrested him and took him to the chief .The chief questioned the boy ,asked him his name and he told him his name was Peter longa .the chief asked him where he got that name longa.The chief asked him who his father was then the boy replied my father is longa.The chief asked him again where is ure father from he said his father didn't live with them most times but he used to visit them once a week from the near by village and never told them where he came from .Then another qtn came in "did ure come thing week to visit u "the boy"no he didn't come that's why I went to the forest to hunt for some Bush meat since he didn't come with it and we were starving with my mom" The chief didn't not take his own decision and he called for all villagers to come for a meeting to decide on the Boyz matter THE MEETING The villagers came through for the meeting including the council of elders plus the chief The chief got up and said" This boy was arrested from the forest by the guards and after questioning him he claims to be the son of the late longa our clan leaders what should we do " some said the boy had longas face indeed some doubted and said he should be arrested and suffer the consequences then the chief dismissed the meeting and told people not to worry that the elders will conduct the investigation on whether the boy is saying the truth or not . The nxt day the chief invited the council of elders for a meeting and told them to bring in the ideas since he shouldn't make decisions alone LOTEE (the leader of the elders )said "we can't Bury what longa has done for this village and he will always remain in our hearts so what we should do according to our rules is that we can't punish before confirming the problem so what trying to say is let's find one woman that will go to the near by village and find out whether longa really had a wife and a son outside our village and then she will be giving us information for the nearby village before concluding " Then the other elders seconded on the idea .Then the chief gave them a task to look for the lady that will do the job well within 2 days coz the investigation was supposed to be done faster. After the 2 days the leader of the elders came and told the chief that they managed to get ayoung woman called Nakiru INVESTIGATION Nakiru was brought to the chief by the elders for preparation. She was told how longa was more than important to the village at large.Then the qtn was asked to her by the chief"are u ready to show ure loyalty to longa and the entire village "she said yes anything for longa and my village .Good said the chief.Then he went ahead and told her we wnt to send u to the near by village to get some in formation but before that let's fast find out the name of the woman from the boy before u go . Guards said the chief "go and bring that boy" they brought the boy and asked him what is the name of ure mother the boy said"lomongin" .then he was taken bak. Nakiru was told the name and she was instructed to be careful wen she was collecting information and not to disclose any village information if Caught she promised not to disclose. she moved to the nearby village and wen she reached she was caught by the village guards and she was taken to the King she was asked wat she had come to do frm the village she said "ure majesty I have come to look for some work to sustain her life then she was left .she stayed for one week in the village before starting her work .then the nxt week that was her second day in that village she started digging in some information abt the lady called lomongin from the neighbours and she was told that lady was a cook in the palace and she was allowed to visit her place only once a week .she was also told that lady has a son called Peter.she asked the neighbour if she has aman they said they don't knw exactly who her man was . she had to find out about the man from the lady her self since no one was telling her the man .she waited till Thursday the day she could come out so that she would asked her but she Couldn't just ask her like that she had to come up with the plan . she waited outside the Palace gate on Thursday morning and when lomongin came out heading to her home she followed her ask tried getting he attention but she couldn't until she mentioned the name of longa was wen she caught her attention the see said pardon what dis u jst say madam .nakiru told her "longa sent me to met u "lomongin said" howz longa is he fine" LOMONGIN AND NAKIRU
