Chapter 30
Sean was expecting to sleep poorly, but not because Dane was thrashing so badly. But it seemed Dane was the one to have the nightmares, and Sean woke and held him every time. Sean expected Dane to resist, but he didn’t do more than halfheartedly push Sean away a few times. It was a rough night, and when Dane finally seemed able to sleep without waking up, they both didn’t wake until almost noon.
Sean couldn’t sleep any longer. He was still tired, but always getting up early otherwise made his brain unable to sleep completely through the day. He got up to use the bathroom and start some coffee, then got back in bed and leaned on his side to watch Dane sleep.
