“What? Why?” asked Sean.
But Dane had it figured out. He scowled.
“I’m the enemy,” he said. “There’s rules and s**t. Order has them too. For working with outside groups.” He wanted to point out that was a good enough reason to join the Order instead of a Guild, but Sean was moving onto a new question.
“Am I allowed to switch Guilds? Say I go with Healing Light, then realize I fit better with Labyrinth Laborers. Am I stuck?”
“No, but there’s a process. You’ll need a sponsor. And you might burn some bridges in your former Guild. Men shifting Guilds for marriage used to be widely practiced but has fallen out of favor. Even so, to do it without the marriage…” Aurora trailed off. “It’s not particularly common for anyone to change Guilds anymore. Some witches will hold that again
