Ivan looked at Stacy who was holding Sherlyn and putting her to sleep. Stacy’s curly hair swirled around her cheeks, adding some softness to her features.
Ivan walked over and was about to speak when Stacy put her finger to her lips and whispered, "Shhh, Ruthie isn't quite asleep yet."
After a while, Sherlyn finally fell asleep. Stacy gently put Sherlyn to bed, and then instructed the nanny, "You stay here and watch her while I take a shower and change. I'll sleep with her tonight."
Stacy and Ivan walked out of the room and Ivan asked, "Are you going to accompany her tonight?"
"She's in shock, and I'm afraid she'll be scared if she doesn't see me when she wakes up in the middle of the night."
"Thank you."
Stacy was so happy to hear Ivan's gentle words, but she tried to keep it down
