13 Rage and Jealousy

1185 Words
That w***e was pregnant! Stacy had eavesdropped on everything behind the door. If she hadn't had a secret to keep, she would probably have burst into the room. Megan was such a slut! She had married Ivan because Stacy had allowed her to. But she had used the chance to climb onto Ivan's bed. What was her plan? Did she really think she would be the real Mrs. Hendrix after getting pregnant? It wouldn't even happen in her dreams! Stacy was breathing rapidly as she leaned against the wall. She knew Ivan and Megan were still cuddling in that room and that made her whole body burn with jealousy. Suddenly, Stacy's eyes snapped open as a foul idea struck her. Megan's pregnancy could actually be a good thing for her. This baby would become her baby with Ivan! The herbal soup Megan cooked was gonna be done. Megan gently pushed away Ivan who was hugging her and rushed downstairs as she realized it, but she was pulled away by Stacy in the kitchen. Stacy grabbed her wrist and forced her into a corner. Stacy had shown up in this house more frequently recently. Megan didn't know why. Perhaps she was so eager to know the result of the treatment for Ivan's eyes. Stacy rudely dragged Megan aside and glared at Megan with her bloodshot eyes. When Megan looked at her, she found the glower on Stacy's face was quite familiar. Whenever Megan got something Stacy couldn't have, this vicious older sister of hers would always look at her like this. Megan suddenly had a bad feeling. Stacy probably had heard everything and knew about her pregnancy… Stacy's eyes fell on Megan's belly as a vicious smile played across her lips, "Good for you, little slut! I asked you to marry Ivan but I've never told you to be his w***e! Do you think Ivan will keep you as his wife when he knows you're pregnant? Well… It will never happen!" Stacy's grip was iron-hard… Megan felt so much pain as she pulled away. But her older sister had no intention to let her go. Standing in her ways, the look on Stacy's face was pure evil, "I will kill that little bastard in your belly if you don't do as I say!" Megan covered her belly instantly as she saw a smug smile on Stacy's face. “You can have Ivan's baby. But the baby will call me mommy. It will have nothing to do with you after being born! The woman Ivan loves and wants to marry has always been me! So, his child is also mine. You are nothing but a surrogate!” Stacy shamelessly exclaimed. Megan looked at the monster before her incredulously. She saw the necklace Ivan had given to her before was on Stacy's neck. Stacy stole her necklace, stole Ivan and now, she still wanted to steal her baby! Covering her belly, Megan realized sadly that there was actually nothing she could do… She only had herself. It was impossible for her to win the whole Dunn Family on her own. “If you dare to play any tricks, I'll tell Jason about your pregnancy. Do you think he will allow you to give birth to Ivan's baby? As the current heir of the Hendrix Family, he won't let go of you. So, if you still wanna keep your little bastard, do as I say!” Stacy was satisfied with Megan's silence. But as soon as she thought of the scene when Ivan and Megan were cuddling together, she became furious and even wanted to kill Megan. She reached out and pinched Megan's arm. Megan sniffed and pushed Stacy's hand away, giving her one last resentful stare as she walked past the vicious woman before her. Pouring the soup into a bowl, Megan walked away without looking back, leaving Stacy behind with a jealous look on her face. When Ivan recovered, she would definitely kick Megan out, so she would be the one and only Mrs. Hendrix. … Megan sounded a bit low-spirited as she put down the bowl. Ivan tried to ask, but his wife didn't say a thing. When he was drinking from the bowl, Cody suddenly came to visit. He came with a lot of supplements for the pregnant woman. Placing all the supplements on the table, he said, “Sir, I've brought the supplements for Mrs as you ordered. When Mrs finishes, please let me know, and I'll get more.” Ivan slowly walked to the table and felt the supplements, he nodded, “Thanks, Cody.” Cody sounded a bit surprised as he checked out on Ivan's eyes, "Sir, I saw your eyes moving… Can you see a little bit now?" Ivan put down the bowl and smiled, "Yes, I can see shadows and blurring figures now. I could see where you're standing right now." Cody went so excited, his voice trembling, "Praise the Lord! Mrs. Hendrix is such an amazing doctor! I knew she would heal you!" Ivan smiled as he finished the bowl of soup, frowning as he put the candy in his mouth. "Sir, I'm actually here to send you a message," Cody lowered his voice after making sure no one was eavesdropping, "Mr. Jones is coming to our city soon…" It seemed like the two men had something important to discuss. Megan took the bowl and walked out of the room. She went to the dining room directly and sat by the table, pulling her notebook out and scribbling down new prescriptions for her husband. She came downstairs because she wanted to make sure May and Lee wouldn't go upstairs to listen. Stacy would pay May now and then. They would thus loosen their watch over Ivan a little bit. So the eavesdropping wouldn't be a problem, but Megan just needed to make sure of it. It didn't take Cody too long to finish the discussion. Before he left, he nodded at Megan and hinted that he had something to talk to her. Megan got his hint and followed him out of the room. Cody hesitated for a few seconds and said, "Mrs. Hendrix, I have a question," the good man seemed curious as he asked, "I thought your name was Megan. Why is Mrs. Hendrix calling you Stacy?" Megan went frozen for a while. She looked up at him, feeling a bit uneasy. How did he know that? Cody pointed at the notebook that Megan was holding, “There's a name, Megan on the notebook. I think that should be your name, right?” Megan grabbed Cody's sleeve, sighed and shook her head afterwards. Cody suddenly realized that she must be keeping some sort of secret. So he decided to respect her decision. Cody was a smart guy. It didn't take him too long to have a guess. The true Stacy Dunn must have been reluctant to marry his blind boss. This girl was probably her replacement of some sort. But it didn't matter. Because he could tell this woman loved his boss. The change was good for everyone.
