Emilie was the first to leave that table that night. She said being on solid land was making her feel strange and that she needed some sleep to get it out of her system. Renault and Constance didn’t quite feel the same way, but they went up to their own room shortly afterwards. The trip from Amsterdam to Porto took a lot out of them and they weren’t quite sure what kind of accommodations the ship taking them from Porto to Constantinople would have so they wanted to make sure they rested as much as possible, as well as do other things that might not be so easy to do in a crowded ship.
