The journey west was begun as soon as the Sloanish had been completely routed from the lands surrounding Orailse. The battle of Lake Trina lasted for the better part of two days, the fort on the far north side of the lake only falling as the sun had started to set on the third day. Despite having been one of the shortest battles of the war to date, it was far in a way one of the bloodiest.
Of the three-hundred thousand men and women that descended upon the lake and the Sloanish forces that held it tightly, a good ten thousand had been lost in the fighting.
