Untitled Chapter
My body was resistant to the wind as it tried to oppose me moving forward. I carried on and pedaled even faster and vigorously. I reached the school in about fifteen minutes and then parked my cycle, entered just in time before lesson starts. At break, as the socially excluded person I was, I sat under the bleachers and quietly ate my snack of a burger. As I was eating, a strange change in the skies surprised me. The last bite of burger fell from my mouth as I stood up and walked forward to get a clearer view of whatsoever was going on.
The sky, which was originally clear blue with the rays of the sun peeping through ever so often had turned light red and a tint of blu could be seen. I gasped and automatically took two steps back. I looked around me to see if anyone else was also noticing this strange phenomenon but no. I was the only one bearing witness to this. Just as I was about to run from the park, an object falling from the sky caught my attention. It seemed to be something like an aircraft and I couldn’t help but stay frozen in my steps. The aircraft fell from the sky to a spot near the park and so being the curious monkey I was, I ran towards it with my heart bursting with vigor and excitement, I completely forgot to be afraid.
My suspicions were in fact true and it was indeed an aircraft. It was nothing like I had ever seen before and that made me more curious. I got closer to inspect it but the door to it opened startling me. Smoke came out from the inside before I saw what I mistook to be a hand peek out from the aircraft. It was green and had what seemed to be scales but gold in color. It visually felt slimy to touch and looked nothing like the everyday normal hand I saw everyday.
