A full week had passed since the storm and Mackenzie was starting to get back into her normal routine. Normal now included Saturday trips to visit Edie at rehab and dates with Holden, but her new normal was better than her old normal.
Edie was doing really well and feeling good. Her cravings had mostly passed and her counselors were confident she’d be able to live a normal life again. It helped that Edie hadn’t chosen the drugs on her own and that she had no interest in going back to that world.
