"Rank leveling continued. All students have finished showcasing their various powers.
'Well done, students,' Miss Alisha said.
Everyone looked towards the back of the hall where the three transfer students were standing. Two girls and one boy.
The boy had white hair and blue eyes. He was tall and handsome.
'That guy is so handsome,' Sandra said, sounding excited.
'Tsk, I'm more handsome than him, no?' Liander retorted.
'Quiet, you two, you might end up fighting,' Dustin teased.
The two of them fell silent.
I sighed and observed the three transfer students.
My attention was drawn to the two female transfer students.
One had a very gentle face with dark blue eyes and long midnight blue hair. Her skin was incredibly fair.
The other had golden brown eyes and very fair skin as well. Her hair was white at the top and curled into a golden blonde color from the middle downwards. I must say, her beauty truly stood out among the students of Crystal Academy.
'Okay, students, let's all welcome Mister Calix to the stage. He's from the Ice Kingdom,' Miss Alisha announced.
'Ice Kingdom? I've only heard of that kingdom now,' I whispered to myself. I also saw the surprise on the faces of other royalty and students. I guess they were wondering where the ice cream kingdom was, as they had never heard of it before.
The boy named Calix stood on the stage again. He looked serious and indifferent to the whispers of the students praising his handsomeness.
'He must be an ice mage,' Aira said suddenly.
'You think so?' I asked her, but she just nodded in agreement.
'Storms Wrath!' the boy suddenly declared.
A loud thunderclap echoed through the stage and my room. Lightning struck the barrier, engulfing it in intense electricity and powerful energy emanating from the boy."
"We were all shocked. He wasn't an ice mage. He had a secondary Earth power.
‘He has the power of lightning and thunder,’ Alira said, looking at Dustin.
Dustin stared seriously at the stage.
‘Thunder strike!’ Calix suddenly shouted.
A bolt of lightning struck the barrier again. There was a huge explosion on the stage. When the smoke cleared, we all looked at the barrier, wondering what the result would be.
The magic he showed was incredibly powerful.
I was right. The barrier had a small crack.
‘Wow, nice one Mr. Calix! You’ve reached level 18!’ Miss Alisha exclaimed with a smile.
Everyone clapped in admiration.
Calix returned to his seat.
‘Now come here to the stage, Ms. Luna,’ Miss Alisha called to another transfer student.
The girl with midnight blue hair stood up."
Luna is currently standing on stage. You can tell she's super nervous and shy, especially with everyone staring at her.
Could she be the one Ms. Alisha and Ms. Mellesian found unconscious in the forest outside the academy?
I heard some of the other students whispering not too far from where we are. It sounds like they're talking about her. They think she looks weak and won't amount to much.
I look back at Luna on stage. She's not doing anything yet, still thinking about what to do.
Calex was the one who broke the barrier with their powers, but it's fixed now.
"You may start now, Luna," Ms. Alisha says.
Luna nervously nods.
I feel like I can't sense her powers. Sandra feels the same way.
I focus my attention on Luna. She closes her eyes.
"Star of the night, shadow of my life, give me the power to become mine!" Luna says with determination.
Her shadow goes into her hand and becomes an energy ball that sparkles like stars. She throws it at the barrier.
She keeps doing this until the stage is filled with smoke from the power she's releasing.
She stops and the smoke clears. Her hand is shaking a little.
"Very good, Ms. Luna. Not bad for a newbie. You reached level 20!" Ms. Alisha says.
Everyone looks at the barrier. There's a tiny crack now, which is surprising because we didn't notice it at first.
Everyone is shocked because they thought she was weak.
Luna nods and quickly goes back to her seat. It's like there's something different about her.
"There's something about her," I say quietly.
"Yes, Aira. Even when she's weak, she's strong. I noticed her hand was shaking," someone whispers.
"I think she still can't fully control her powers," Aira says.
"Aira, her power is a secondary version of yours," Liander says.
I'm surprised they noticed that.
"But there's still something different about her," I insist.
"Now, for the last transfer student, let's call Ms. Percy Ace from the Ice Kingdom," Ms. Alisha announces.
When Percy went up on stage, her face was serious. I furrowed my brow because she kept glancing at Ice. Then her gaze shifted to me and Alira, still serious. Her eyes narrowed, and then she smirked meaningfully at us. And then... she leaned over the barrier. I furrowed my brows again. What was that? I'm so confused. There's something different about her, said Dustin. That's what I think too, said Liander. I don't know what kind of magic she has; I can't sense anything like Luna can, I said. We were silent for a moment, all of us just staring at the girl on stage. She wasn't doing anything yet. Ms. Alisha said, "Ms. Percy, you may start now," but the girl didn't move, like she didn't hear her. What's she doing? asked another student. It seems like she doesn't know how to use magic, said someone else. Several minutes passed. Even us royals were getting restless. Then, she leaned over the barrier and tapped it softly with one hand. After that, she turned around and smirked at us again. I was even more confused by her actions. She started walking off the stage. Ms. Alisha said, "Ms. Percy, you're not finished," but Percy stopped on the last step and said coldly, "Done," and then the barrier shattered. I was so shocked I couldn't speak. The barrier, which was supposed to be super strong, broke with just a tap from that girl. How did that happen? said Sandra, shocked. What kind of magic is that? asked Dustin, confused. Everyone's eyes were wide with amazement at the sight of the shattered barrier. Ms. Alisha finally found her voice and said, "Wow, that's unbelievable, Ms. Percy. Let's see what level you're at." We all looked at the screen where the level ranks usually appear, but nothing showed up, which meant her magic was off the charts. But what kind of power does she have? There's definitely something different about her. As she walked past us, she muttered something that sounded like a threat
