Leander's POV:
Almost an hour had passed, but Dustine and Alira were still trapped underground. We were worried about what was happening to the
We need to trust Dustine. I'm sure he won't let anything bad happen to Alira.
AIRA SAID:
What do you think caused the ground to shake?
SANDRA asked, who was beside me.
The Crystal Forest has always been mysterious, so anything can happen here.
I said.
We were silent for a moment when the ground suddenly shook again.
We were all on alert.
A very bright light shone from where Alira had fallen.
We prepared our protective weapons in case an enemy appeared from there.
But we were surprised when a lion appeared, carrying Alira and
Dustine.
This was no ordinary lion, but the legendary Earth Magic Lion and
Dustine's Animal Guardian.
"Am I seeing this right? Dustine already summoned his lion?" Sandra said in surprise.
"Why do you always have to ask the obvious?" I said to her..
"You're ruining the moment," she said, rolling her eyes at me.
Dustine: "Why is Alira unconscious? Is she okay?"
Aira asked repeatedly as they landed.
Dustine's guardian suddenly jumped high into the air and disappeared, followed by a sudden glow on Dustine's left shoulder where the symbol of his animal guardian was.
While Dustine was still carrying Alira, I also noticed blood on the side of his forehead. His knees were shaking, and he looked exhausted.
When the glow on Dustine's arm subsided, he suddenly spoke.
"Alira
need to be healed."
He said, and then he suddenly
fainted. Luckily, I was able to catch them before they fell to the ground.
"We need to get them to the academy," I said. Aira and Sandra immediately approached to help.
"Okay, but what about Ice?" Aira asked.
"Let's leave him for now. He needs to be alone," I replied.
"Let's teleport," Sandra said. "Hold on to me."
With a snap of her fingers, we were surrounded by her water power, and in an instant, we were at the academy.
We rushed Alira and Dustine to the academy's infirmary. The medics immediately took over, their movements swift and practiced as they Worked to stabilize them.
I felt a surge of relief, knowing they were in good hands. But the nagging worry remained. What had happened to them underground? And what about that glowing light?
We have so many questions for Dustine and Alira, but all of them can only be answered once they both wake up.
"I think we need to let Ms. Alisha know about this," Sandra said.
"She's right, Ms. Alisha needs to know what happened to her daughter, Alira," I agreed.
"I'll tell Tita Alisha myself because I also want to talk to them with Mom," Aira said.
"Okay, Sandra and I will take care of watching over them here," I said in agreement.
Aira nodded immediately and quickly left the room to go to Ms. Alisha.
Aira's POV
I rushed to Tita Alisha's office. Upon reaching the door, I knocked three times.
"Come in," Tita Alisha said from inside.
I entered and saw Mom sitting at her table.
"Aira, why are you here?" Tita Alisha asked as I closed the door and approached them.
"We came from Crystal Moon Forest," I began.
Mom and Tita Alisha waited for me to continue.
"Something happened to Alira and Dustine. We fought a monster in the forest. After we defeated it, there was a tremor, and the ground split. Alira fell into a chasm that opened beneath her feet. Dustine followed her. When they returned, Alira was unconscious, and Dustine was carrying his animal guardian. They were both unconscious when we brought them here to the academy. We don't know the full details yet," I explained at length.
Tita Alisha and Mom exchanged glances...
Tita Alisha nodded slightly at Mom, and they both stood up.
"I want to know how Alira and Dustine are doing," Tita Alisha said softly, a strange expression on her face that made me frown, but I brushed it aside.
"Mom and Tita Alisha," I suddenly said, stopping them, "There's something else I want to ask, especially you, Mom."
"What is it?" Mom asked.
"We know about the symbol on Ice's back, the one Sabrina gave him," I said.
They exchanged another look.
"Is it true that Sabrina and the
Moon Hime are the same person?
Because only one person can possess that symbol," I continued.
"Is it true, Mom?" I asked.
She nodded slightly.
"If that's the case, why did I forget about the Moon Hime and A—"
Knock, knock, knock
I stopped mid-sentence when someone knocked on the office door.
We all turned towards the door.
We all turned towards the door. I quickly got up and opened it. Standing outside was Sandra, her expression a mix of worry and relief.
"Aira, we need to talk," she said urgently. "It's about Dustine and Alira."
"What is it?" I asked, my heart pounding.
"They're both awake," she replied.
After she said that, we immediately went back to where Alira and Dustine were. Mom and Tita Alisha followed us. As we were on our way to where Alira was, something occurred to me. Maybe it's not the right time for me to know the whole truth.
Ice POV
After we fought the royalty, a monster, an earthquake shook the forest, and Alira fell. I have great faith in Dustin that he will save Alira. I also know that as their leader, I should be with them, but I know they understand me.
I am here now at the crystal forest spring where Sabrina and I first met.
Even though she's gone, I still feel like she's with me, which is
probably why I still can't accept her death. I'm stuck in the past,
blaming myself. If it weren't for me
, she would still be here. If only I could turn back time, I would have helped her. I would have done something for her.
I miss you, Sabrina.
I said softly.
I'm sitting now under a big tree.
This tree was Sabrina's favorite hangout.
There are so many things I want to ask you, Sabrina.
I said to myself again and leaned my head slightly against the tree trunk.
If anyone sees me, they might think I'm crazy because I'm talking to myself.
Sabrina, if only you were here now, I wouldn't be like this.
I whispered to myself and just closed my eyes because I felt my tears falling again.
kept my eyes closed, remembering all the time Sabrina and I spent together. Even though it was short, it was incredibly precious to me.
I remained still, feeling the gentle caress of the wind on my skin. I didn't care if this forest was dangerous.
I was lost in thought when I sensed a presence watching me.
I opened my eyes and frowned at what I saw.
"What are you doing here?" I said coldly.
"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" she replied, her voice serious.
"Who are you to ask me that question?" I said icily.
Who is this woman, and what right does she have to talk to me like this?
"While you're doing nothing here, your friends are struggling. You're neglecting them," she said seriously.
"What do you mean?" I asked, annoyed. Why am I even wasting my time talking to this mage?
She raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Are you going to wait for someone else to disappear before you act like a leader and stand by your chosen role? If you're going to be
useless..." she said coldly.
I clenched my fists and glared at her.
She only smirked in response.
"Useless," she said, and then suddenly vanished.
But her voice echoed in my ears.
Without thinking, I teleported back to Crystal Academy, but I was shocked by what greeted me.
"AHHHH!"
