Third Person POV
A series of loud explosions rocked the Crystal Academy.
Ice was met with this chaotic scene upon returning to the academy. Without hesitation, he rushed towards the source of the commotion.
Upon arriving at the academy field, he found the entire royalty, including the three new members, Percy, Luna, and Calex, engaged in a fierce battle against dark mages. The monsters unleashed countless black runes, creating a menacing atmosphere
As the leader of the royalty, Ice immediately joined the fray.
“How did those dark mages get in here?” Ice asked Leander, who was skillfully wielding two swords.
Leander, her eyes fixed on the battle, replied, “We’re still unsure how they managed to breach our barrier.”
Ice nodded and prepared for battle, conjuring a flaming sword in his hand. He charged alongside the other royalty to confront the enemy.
Sandra, wielding a whip, shouted, “Water punishment!” as she unleashed a powerful attack. Alira, despite having just recovered from her ordeal underground, fought alongside Dustine, creating ear-splitting tornadoes. Dustine, in turn, shook the ground and hurled sharp stones. Aira and Percy, using their magical weapons, also joined the battle, while Luna, though still learning to control her powers, fought valiantly.

Luna
l repeatedly hurled shards of obsidian at the dark mages, while Calex struck
them with lightning bolts.
"Ugh, it's like they're endless!" Alira exclaimed, exasperated.
"You're right, they just keep coming," Sandra agreed.
"Tsk, fight harder! Don't let any crystal mage student get hurt," Ice commanded, fiercely swinging his sword and launching a fireball at his opponents.
Moments passed as the battle raged on.
Aira suddenly called out, "Dustine, raise the ground I'm standing on!"
Dustine obeyed, and the ground beneath Aira elevated. This action seemed to give Leander, Sandra, and Alira an idea.
A year had passed since the first attack.
"We need to find out who or what is behind this," Aira said.
As she fought, Aira intently studied the surroundings. The other royals felt exhausted but refused to give up.
Aira's vision blurred as she strained her eyes, until she spotted a peculiar dark mage at the back of the group. The mage was releasing dark smoke from its joined hands, and more dark mages emerged from the smoke.
"I see it!" Aira exclaimed.
"Alright, what are we waiting for? Let's finish this!" Sandra cheered.
"Yes, game on!" Alira agreed.
"As always," Ice said seriously.
The other royals smiled, knowing what he meant. They were about to combine their powers.
Raising their hands, they chanted in unison:
“Elements align, warrior's might,
Earth, fire, water, wind, and light!
Darkness I wield, balance I keep,
In nature's embrace, my power leaps!”
Alira, Dustine, Aira, Sandra, Leander, and Ice unleashed their powers, combining them into a formidable force. Since Aira was the highest, she controlled the co
bined elements.
BOOMm
A powerful explosion shook the ground. And then, as if by magic, the dark mages vanished.
"We did it!" Alira shouted joyfully.
Aira jumped down and joined Alira and Sandra in their celebration. Luna smiled warmly, looking at the rejoicing royals. Calex, however, stood with a serious expression, his eyes fixed on the others. Percy smirked mysteriously.
Dustine and Ice exchanged puzzled glances.
Meanwhile, in the distance, a cloaked figure watched the scene unfold. The figure's face was partially hidden by the darkness, and their eyes held a serious expression.
"Enjoy your victory now, royalty," the figure murmured. "This is only the beginning."
And with that, the figure vanished.
Luna's Point of V
Wow, I was so scared earlier! A bunch of people in black cloaks suddenly attacked the academy.
Thankfully, the royalties are so strong.
It's really an honor to be part of their group.
Even though I only know a little about using my powers, I was still able to join in.
To be honest, I don't know much about myself. All I know is
I'm Luna. I don't know how I got these powers.
And why those shadow creatures are chasing me in the forest.
And what they want from me.
We're still here at the academy field, everyone's still having fun. Sandra looked at me, then I looked at Ice who was staring intently into the distance. He suddenly looked at me, so I quickly looked away.
It's just that I didn't mean to face Calex. He furrowed his brow.
"Ugh, this is so embarrassing. What's wrong with you, Luna?"
I mumbled to myself and scratched my head while looking down at Calex.
"You have lice,"
Calex suddenly said, making me look up at him with furrowed brows.
"Huh?" I replied.
"What did this guy say? Lice? What's that?"
"Tsk, never mind," he said.
"Whoa, he got mad so quickly. Meanwhile, he's the one saying all sorts of incomprehensible things."
"What is lice anyway? What language is that?"
I pouted. Maybe it's a bad word.
"Don't pout or I'll smack you with a frying pan," he threatened.
He said
"What kind of word is that?"
I touched my lips and pouted. "What is he going to attach to my nose? Is that even possible?"
"What kind of words is this guy saying? Frying pan, lice... I think my hair is turning white just thinking about what he's saying."
"Tsk, behave yourself. You look like a fool," Calex said again.
I gaped at him. I really can't understand his language.
"Is that something you eat?" I asked involuntarily.
"Tsk, try it and you'll look even stupider," he said, rolling his eyes.
Is he praising me or insulting me? I thought.
"You've been like this since earlier..."
He stopped mid-sentence when
Ms. Alisha and Ms. Melisean arrived.
They were both so beautiful.
"Royalty," Ms. Alisha said, looking at the two newcomers. "We have something to discuss."
Ms. Alisha said it seriously, and everyone nodded.
I couldn't believe we were part of their group. It was too good to be true.
"Follow us to the office," Ms. Melisean said.
They both walked away. The others exchanged glances and shrugged before following. It felt like we weren't really welcome in their group...
I hung my head.
Then someone spoke, "Luna, Calex, let's go. What are you waiting for? Where's Percy? We need to go to the office."
I looked at the speaker, and it was Alira. She, Sandra, and Air were smiling at us. Dustin and Liandwe nodded, while Ice just continued walking. I smiled back, feeling a bit shy, and scratched my head.
"You're such a tease," Calex said, making me look at him. But he was already walking towards Alira.
This guy is getting on my nerves. If only I were taller, I'd punch him. I thought.
I followed them. It would be embarrassing to keep them waiting.
If you're wondering why I know all their names, well, there are these things called ID badges.
Hehe.
"But I'm really wondering why Percy left right after the fight with the dark mages. It was like nothing happened."
I asked Calex as I walked beside him. "Calex, where's Percy?"
"Do I look like a missing person finder?" he replied irritably.
"Wow, he's so rude. I was just asking," I mumbled to myself.
When we caught up with Aura and the others, Alira immediately put her arm around me.
"Hi, Luna," she said with a smile.
How could I not smile back at the wind princess?
"You know, Luna, we really wanted to welcome you when you first arrived in the room. Since you're a new member of the royalty. It's just that we have a grumpy dragon here," Alira said, nodding towards Ice. "Don't go near him."
I nodded, even though I didn't really understand what she was saying. I was just nervous and shy around them.
Alira continued to chat about different things until we reached Ms. Alisha's office. I found out that she was Alira's mother. No wonder they looked so alike.
Aira knocked on the office door.
"Come in, royalty," Ms. Alisha said from inside their office. I also
learned that Ms. Melisean and Aira are mother and daughter. Just sharing.
We immediately entered the office but stopped when we saw Percy already there. She was earlier than us. She's really something else.
"Please have a seat, royalty, because we have something important to discuss," Ms. Alisha said and gestured where we should sit.
We all followed.
I looked around Ms. Alisha's office. It was very spacious, and there were five empty tables. I wondered who owned those tables.
I looked around again and saw a large picture of seven mages. Four of them were women and three were men, all beautiful and handsome. One of the women was Ms. Alisha and Ms. Melisean. I
.
wonder who the others were. On the other side was a picture of four young children. They looked so happy in the picture, three girls and one boy. The faces of two girls and one boy seemed familiar.
"Ah! It's Aira, Alira, and Dustin! Wow, you guys are so cute! Who's the other one with you? She's so beautiful!" I said loudly and pointed at the picture.
"Stupid," Calex whispered beside me, so I heard him.
I slowly looked at all the royalties, including Ms. Alisha and Ms. Melisean.
They were all looking at me. Alira, Sandra, and Aira were smiling at me, but I felt shy and looked down.
"Oh no, Luna, this is so
embarrassing! I just want the ground to swallow me up."
"Sorry," I said softly.
I heard Alira and the others giggle softly.
"It's okay," Ms. Alisha said, so I looked at her.
"So, as I was saying, we have a problem..." Ms. Alisha began, but Ms. Melisean interjected.
"And because of this problem," Ms. Melisean added, her voice firm, "I'm giving you a mission, royalty." She looked at each of us in turn, her gaze lingering slightly longer on me. "This mission is crucial to the safety of the academy, and I expect nothing less than your full cooperation."
This mission," said Ms. Melisean, her voice authoritative, "requires caution and swift action. We've received reliable information that a group of dark mages, possibly allied with the dark creatures we recently faced, plan to infiltrate the academy. Their goal is unclear, but we shouldn't underestimate them."
She unfolded a map on the table, showing a detailed layout of the academy and the surrounding areas. "Their likely point of infiltration is through the western perimeter, near the old watchtower. This area isn't heavily guarded because it's thought to have no strategic importance – a mistake we believe they're counting on."
Ms. Alisha pointed to a specific spot on the map. "Your team, led by Ice, is responsible for securing this area. Your main goal is reconnaissance. Observe, gather intel, and identify any weaknesses in their plan. Avoid direct confrontation unless absolutely necessary. We need to know their numbers, their abilities, and most importantly, their target."
Ice, who'd been quiet until now, finally spoke. His voice was low but cold. "Understood."
Ms. Melisean then addressed the rest of us. "The remaining teams will be on high alert, reinforcing security throughout the academy. Any suspicious activity must be reported immediately. We need to stay vigilant and prepared for anything."
"Any questions?" asked Ms. Alisha, scanning the room.
A few hands went up, and Ms. Melisean and Ms. Alisha patiently answered each question, clarifying the mission details. The mood in the room was tense, full of anticipation.
Finally, Ms. Melisean ended the briefing. "This is a critical mission, everyone. The safety of the academy, and maybe even the entire realm, rests on your shoulders. I have full confidence in your abilities."
We stood up from our chairs, the weight of the mission heavy on us. As we left the office, I glanced at Calex. He nodded slightly, a flicker of something I couldn't read in his eyes. I couldn't put my finger on his expression, but one thing was clear – this mission was going to test all of us.
