Episode 3 JUDAS

Hello, Mandy. After work, Chloe waved at Amanda, but she remained silent, acting as if Chloe did not exist.

Amanda and Chloe have been friends since their time in high school. Teachers believed them to be twins because of how close they were. They always had each other's backs and accomplished almost everything together. Because of Chloe's influence, Amanda was able to get the job with Dec Pharm. As the Dec Pharm auditor with the longest tenure, she is allowed to speak with a select number of people regarding possible job opportunities. She could not have imagined thinking of anyone else but Amanda, who she truly cared about.

“Hey, Mandy, I am talking to you. Are you really not paying attention to me?” Chloe moved forward one more step to tap Amanda, who was ambling down the street looking for a ride home.

“Chloe Sweetie!” At last, Amanda found her true self.

“I really apologize.

You calling me, I had no idea,” Amanda stopped to offer her apology. Pale and disoriented, she appeared. Her overthinking has caused some serious damage to her brain.

"Mandy, what is the issue? They went to a quiet place to talk more effectively, but Chloe expressed concern that you do not seem happy.

It is the Boss. “He desires a romantic relationship with me,” Amanda revealed, her eyes welling with tears. She feels completely overwhelmed by the situation. She is at a loss for what to do.

"Whoa! How did you respond, then?

“Oh my god no.

When I am dating Kingsley, I cannot say yes to his proposal. It is not even logical. Is it not? Amanda gave a ferocious reply.

She provided feedback without even pausing to consider it.

Mandy, it is easy.

I will not encourage you to cheat on Kingsley, even though I would love for you to have a rich guy as a boyfriend. You two have come so far to give up now, I know that.” Chloe gave in to Amanda's judgment and accepted her choice without comment. Pretending that everything was alright on her end, she forced a smile. However, she secretly feels resentful of Declan for even contemplating pursuing Amanda.

Why Mandy? Was the question Chloe was asking herself. What is it about her that Declan finds lacking in me? “I would sooner die than witness Amanda's relationship with Declan.”

"But it is not just that.

Furthermore, he threatened to take 5% off my next pay cheque if I refused to comply with his request. My tardiness to work today has earned me a punishment from him. “What did I do to earn this?” Amanda sobbed like a child and huddled into Chloe's arms for comfort.

“So, what are your plans going forward? Will you do nothing and allow him to take that ridiculous amount out of your pay cheque?”

"Do I have an option?

The small price we pay for love is that. If Declan were the only man alive, I would never date him," Mandy swore. She rolled her eyes and motioned for Chloe to shut up as she noticed Declan's car drawing closer to them.

"Talk of the devil.

They tried to ignore Declan, Chloe whispering to Amanda, “Just act like we never saw him coming.”

Declan could still see them, though, despite their attempt. “Would you ladies mind if I gave you a ride?” he said, speaking from the windscreen as he parked directly in front of them.

"Not at all. With confidence, Mandy said, "We were about to head home when you showed up. She got to her feet, hoping Chloe would follow suit. Sadly, Chloe stayed seated and gave Mandy a wink to maintain composure as they reached a peaceful resolution.

“Chloe, what in the world are you doing? This was not supposed to happen,” Mandy chastised her.

"Relax! Chloe gave Amanda a pinch to keep her quiet.

"Sir, we will gladly accept your offer.

“Like the biblical Judas, Chloe turned the tables and betrayed Amanda. We cannot afford to trek under this scorching sun.”

Chloe, you are so annoying.

You are a snitch. Keep your distance from me at all costs. I despise you. After hurling insults at Chloe, Amanda stormed off.

Without making any attempt to get in touch with her again, Chloe watched her go. She had been waiting for this chance for a very long time, even before Amanda began working for Dec Pharm.

Chloe has been spotted leaving Declan's office covertly a few times. Everyone can see that she has been flinging herself at Declan without hesitation, but he has never taken a liking to her.

Despite Chloe's attractiveness, he does not think she would make a good girlfriend or wife. Chloe is afraid that her best friend, Amanda, will win Declan over.

“Would you rather go with your friend or would you like to jump in?” Declan asked.

Chloe exclaimed, “I am right here with you,” and hurried to the front seat.

Shaking his head, Declan entered the vehicle. Although he did not enjoy the thought of driving with Chloe, he was only trying to comply for Amanda's benefit. He hoped that Chloe would help him get Amanda.

About halfway through Chloe's flat, she began to giggle and stroke Declan's hand. He resisted her in the final moments as she honed her craft and almost brought him down with her antics.

Could you just stop? She defied his courteous advice and persisted in exerting more effort even as the car was running.

“Cease!” Declan let out a yell and immediately pulled over.

Luckily for them, a truck ran them over and prevented them from having an accident.

“What made you stop the car? Declan's negligence almost killed us,” Chloe cried out in rage. She had never communicated with Declan in this way before, but today's near-death experience gave her a newfound sense of bravery.

I am sorry I yelled at you. I was simply too terrified. We might have died in the process, after all.

“I get it, but you ought to take the fall for it. You continued caressing me inappropriately, which caused me to become unstable.”

“Are you serious? Let us have a brief s****l encounter, please whirl up the glasses. Inside my bag, I have protection.”

"Are you serious at this moment? That's never happening. Amanda was the only reason I offered to give you a lift. Please provide me with her boyfriend's residential address. Chloe thought she would get Declan all to herself, but Declan exposed her.

“You gotta be kidding me. This is a joke, right? Even though you are aware of my love for you, you still want me to assist you in obtaining Amanda, who also happens to be my best friend. How does that work?” Chloe wept like a little child. It hurts her to hear Declan speak in such a manner.

“How about I give you $5k right here?” Declan proposed.

“Uh?” Chloe wiped her tears and rolled her eyes.

"You heard me right.

Let us get started. After unlocking his safe, Declan placed a wad of dollar bills in Chloe's hand.

“All of this for the address of her boyfriend?” She spoke in a hushed voice.

“Yes and even more once everything is settled. Even though I know you think highly of me, I just cannot help myself. I love your friend a lot and would do everything to have her to myself,”

“I see!” Chloe mumbled.

She pulled out her phone and sent Declan a text. Declan's phone beeped to alert him in less than a minute.

“Are you satisfied now?”

"Undoubtedly. Declan exclaimed, “You the best,” and excitedly kissed Chloe on the cheeks. Since she was aware that it was not sincere, she never felt particularly special.

She quietly got out of his car and took a cab home. Declan was desperate for Amanda's love, and Chloe could not bear to spend another moment with him.

Declan left and drove directly to Kingsley's flat. He was shocked beyond belief when he saw Amanda and an unidentified man leaving the flat Chloe had texted him from.

“Is he the same guy Chloe mentioned?” Declan asked rhetorically as his voice echoed back to him.
