Chapter 8 ~ Actress

"Um...Master Calhoun", Nicholas tried to get Calhoun's attention as his attention was focused solely on the screen before him. When Calhoun didn't respond Nicholas still tried to get his attention. "Master Calhoun", he called again and still got no reply from him, still he didn't give up but when he was about to call- "What! Talk you fool! I've been hearing you for a long time now!", Calhoun exclaimed in frustration. "I got information on the child you wanted to know about last night", Nicholas revealed catching Calhoun's attention fully. "Talk", Calhoun ordered. "It's kind of a twisted long story are you sure you want to-" "Talk", he repeated. "She goes by the name Dalenn Isabelle...the daughter of a woman.. beautiful as they described, according to black market they said she was a maid of the mansion at that time and died some weeks after bearing Isabelle", Nicholas told. "So what could've killed her...the baby or royal jealousy", Calhoun asked and Nicholas explained, "I was told that she was killed by the queen after finding out about her husband's act.. luckily the baby survived and was brought to the king..they said she was the only heir of Dalenn". "So...the queen was barren huh?..poor thing.. what happened next, because it looked like she didn't remember anything about being a princess", Calhoun questioned using his left hand to support his chin as he stared towards Nicholas..this time with an interest filled gaze. "The queen wasn't pleased and decided to destroy Dalenn's only heir, Isabelle.", Nicholas explained with a pause to be sure that Calhoun was following him. "The king noticed this when the queen had already planned to take Isabelle to where she'll be killed...this is when the incident twelve years ago probably occurred", Nicholas reminded. "The explosion", Calhoun replied with a thoughtful look.. that was the time his parents volunteered to join royal court for the first time..his parents never missed a day and even looked very disappointed when they couldn't find the missing suspect..they said they suspected the father more because he never attended any meeting and barely showed any interest. At the end he never got to know who they were looking for. 'To think it was her'. "There was an explosion in their court at that time and all of a sudden and the queen was found laying on the ground with a knife burrowed deep in her chest while Isabelle... went missing for years now", Nicholas elaborated on the topic causing Calhoun to chuckle continuously as he figured out what could have transpired the explosion. He had gone to serve when he was done with college..he knew how all this cases started and what transpired them. "Then we can only guess that the Princess is more than just bull's eye... there must be a detailed you failed to get... I'm sure she had a full hand in the queen's death that is if there was a queen or someone she's working with", Calhoun used his best detecting analysis to figure out the structure of the case and he could tell it confused Nicholas. "I'm sorry Master..what do you mean if there was a queen... everyone knows there was a quee- oh", Nicholas gasped as if finally understanding where his master was heading. "Even so master..at such a young age", Nicholas found it quite hard to believe. "We still haven't dealt with Brooche.. or should I kill him myself", Calhoun reminded. "No master..we may get figured out by government if you do so", Nicholas warned. "Find out every information about Isabelle's mother and get me the best skilled assasin you might know in country A", Calhoun ordered and Nicholas bowed to show his respect before leaving the room. ..... "So you mean won't be leaving this mansion soon... right Miss Isabelle", Feng asked with hopefilled tone. He loved her company a lot. "I will go find my family since I have little knowledge on who they are...sad to say I may never return.. I'll let Rohan bring me to them but that doesn't mean I'll stay here... Rohan promised to give me a mansion in thylead estate... it'll be much easier to live next to Mr kuinn without his notice...", Isabelle informed and just right in time her phone rang making her look at it's screen with an amused smile. "Just in time", she whispered before answering the call. Unexpectedly she heard a voice she wasn't expecting. "Give me the damn phone Nic!", the voice rang so loud in her ears making her push her hands very far from her head. "But..but master.. I have to be the one to talk to this assasin.. you might be angered if he or she doesn't have good manners", Nicholas pleaded. It had happened before... Calhoun telling his body guards to go and drag the assasin from wherever he was to his dungeons for severe torture..just because of his bad manners. "Fine...but put the phone on loud speaker.. I need to hear the conversation", Calhoun finally agreed but Nicholas still seemed hesitant on doing it.. making a vein pop on his head. "You fool of a butler! I'll snatch that phone if you refuse to put on the loudspeaker! Fool!", Calhoun raged and Nicholas needn't be told twice. "H-hello", Nicholas stammered because of the way Calhoun had just revealed the fact that he had an illness to this stranger. Isabelle on the other hand was busy counting sheeps in her head for someone.. any one to put that ranger over the phone to sleep..she was jolted to reality when she heard the butler's voice and she immediately put on her deceiving assasin voice... something she had learnt to do even at such a little age. Back then it was only for trying to call the manager of the orphanage and pretend to be his employee.. but it worked anyway. She ended his life herself and she wasn't sympathetic about it... all the evil things he had done back then caused her action. He sold them as slaves.. and they all knew but nobody was brave enough. "You must be Nicholas.. I've heard a lot about you..why have you disturbed me this fine evening.. although it's not that fine in your side", she was hinting on what happened over the phone. Feng who noticed the sudden change in her tone was surprised... it almost looked like she was a famous actress playing a movie... and she was so good at it.
