“Stop the car! Stop!” Noticing Beth rushing to the road, Joey shouted.
There was a sudden screech of the car. Michael raised his head and look forward unpleasantly. The next second, his eyes were wide open.

Beth clenched her teeth.
Though the car was stopped in time, she got her knees hit.
Joey turned back. “Mr. Gage, I’ll check on…” said Joey in a worried voice.
He didn’t get the chance to finish his words as he was shocked by what he saw.
Michael had thrown the door open and got off the car. He didn’t even bring an umbrella with him. Running through the rain, Michael came to Beth.
He looked grave and anxious. Beth felt her heart thundering in her chest.
