STOLEN

Nathan I had just gotten fired from work and I hadn't told mom yet . I couldn't bring myself to tell her and now my savings were running out . Her medication was quite expensive . I left for school thinking of a way to get some money . For a while I had been thinking about visiting the rich part of the town. I'm pretty sure they would not notice if I borrowed something they didn't use . There was this guy from our school who was very rich . I had observed him for a while and noticed that he seemed to live alone and there were no security guards or cameras around . Luke , his name , was a senior and a heart throb . Though he never dated anyone from school , he spent most of his time with his best friend , Nicolas . I also may or may not have a crush on them . That day after school I saw Luke and Nicolas heading somewhere and I knew that was my only chance . I walked to where their house was and sneaked in . There were no lights on so I slowly started to climb the stairs . There was a statue next to it and it had this necklace that looked like it could be worth something good enough . I reached for it and just when I had grabbed it the lights came on and I knew I was f****d . I tuned around to find Luke leaning on wall , one hand on the switch and the other in his pocket . I was holding the necklace tightly trying not to show how scared I was . He started to slowly walk towards me and I kept backing away . " Nathan . Why are you here ? " He was looking into my eyes as if daring me to lie . So I did. " I wanted to stop by and say hi ? . " I was hopping he would buy that. " Say hi ? " He asked looking at something. I followed his eyes and saw what he was looking at . The necklace . My cheeks started heating up . " Why ?b" was all he asked I considered a lie but decided against it. " I'm sorry . I was just looking for something to get me some money for my mom's medication and your house seemed like it didn't have security and I didn't think you would be home this early . I'm sorry . " I said in one breath . My eyes had teared up and I was trying to hold back tears from falling . " Plz don't call the cops on me . " I said in a really small voice . He looked at me for a while then he spoke. " I'll let you go on one condition . You'll come back here tomorrow after school . " I shook my head as a yes sign. " Words . " He said in a stern voice . " Yes , I will . " I extended my hand towards him to give him the necklace but he just looked at it . " Keep it . " " Really ? " "Yes . Come on I'll walk you out . " I silently followed him . He opened the door for me and I stepped out giving him a thank you before walking away . When I was a safe distance away I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding . I went to a jewelry shop and sold the thing . It was actually quite expensive . I went to the pharmacy and bought the medicine . I went home to make sure my mom was okay . That night I couldn't stop thinking of all the possible reasons why he wanted to talk to me the next day . Maybe he wanted to kill me . It was also a possibility . The next day I woke up and got ready for school . I had decided to avoid him and his friend at all costs . I wasn't gonna go . I was to scared to find out why . I spent the whole day trying to avoid them and I was successful . I went home and waited for the next day . I arrived at school late and found the halls empty . I intend on being late so that he would not find me . I went to my locker to get my books and as I was doing so, someone pined me to a locker . I closed my eyes and hissed . When I finally opened them and was about to curse at the person I froze . It was him . " I see someone forgot our little meet up . " His voice was lower than usual and he looked really mad . " Sorry I was really busy and couldn't make it . " " Don't lie to me kid . If you don't show up today , you'll be in deep s**t. It's a warning . " he said in a whisper . He then let me go but before leaving he bit my lob and left me frozen . For the rest of the day my mind was so messed up . After school I headed there not wanting to know what the big s**t I would be in , was . I was standing outside the door wondering if I should knock or just walk away. Before I could even decide the door opened. There he was , Luke . One of my biggest crush . " Come in . " he moved away from the door to give me space . I walked inside and he led me to the sitting room. He offered me a sit and asked if I wanted anything . I declined and he took a sit beside me . " Why do you look so tensed. I won't kill you , you know. I just wanna get to know you a little . " There was something different about him this time . He didn't seem to have that scary aura around him and his voice was really soft considering our last encounterb. It made me relax a bit . He seemed to have noticed and smile .
