Mira is fumbling with her books, accidentally bumps into Paul.) Paul: Woah, hey! You okay? Mira: (Eyes wide, cheeks flushing) Uh, y-yeah! Totally fine! Sorry! 😳 Paul: No worries! I'm Paul, by the way. New here. Mira: (Stammering) I... I'm Mira. Welcome! Paul: (Smiling) Nice to meet you, Mira. So, any tips for surviving this place? Seems kinda… huge. Mira: (A small smile appears) Oh! Uhm… well, the library is pretty good. And the cafeteria food… is edible. Mostly. 😂 Paul: (Laughing) Sounds promising! Maybe I'll check out the library. Thanks, Mira. See ya around? Mira: (Nodding eagerly) Yeah! See ya! [SCENE START] INT. CLASSROOM - DAY Mira is sitting next to Chloe, her best friend, in class. They're whispering and giggling about something on Chloe's phone. chole: No way! He actually said that? Mira (Blushing) > I know, right? It was so… random. chole:Girl, random is good! It means he's not playing games. The classroom door opens, and Mr. Harrison, the history teacher, walks in. Behind him is PAUL. Mira's eyes widen. Mr Harrison : Alright everyone, settle down. We have a new student joining us today. This is Paul Robinson. Paul, why don't you tell us a bit about yourself? Paul smiles at the class, then his eyes meet Mira's. He gives her a small, almost imperceptible nod. paul: Uh, hi everyone. I'm Paul. I just moved here, and I'm really into sports. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Mr Harrison: Great! Paul, you can take the empty seat next to… let's see… Mira. Mira, raise your hand. Mira's jaw drops. She slowly raises her hand, trying to act casual, but her heart is racing. Paul grins and walks towards her desk. Paul: (Whispering as he sits down) Small world, huh? Mira can only manage a weak smile. Chloe nudges her with a knowing look. [SCENE START] INT. CLASSROOM - DAY (Moments Later) The bell SCREECHES, and the classroom erupts in a flurry of movement. Students shove books into bags, chatter fills the air, and chairs scrape against the floor. Chloe, however, is glued to her seat, eyes narrowed, watching Mira. Mira is gathering her things, but her cheeks are still flushed. Chloe: (To herself, muttering) Okay, spill. What was that nod about? And why is your face all red? Chloe grabs Mira's arm before she can escape. chole: Seriously, Mira! You're glowing. Who is this Paul guy? And do you think he's cute? Chloe's eyes dart back towards the door, where Paul is now talking to Mr. Harrison. chole: He seems cool, but I have a feeling there's more to the story... Come on, tell me everything! Mira :(muttering) there's nothing to talk about , I just bumped into him this morning in the hallway😓. chole:And........... what happened next. Mira: Oh, he's just in my history class. What about it ?. Chloe: Just? Girl, you were blushing! And he was looking at you like..." (Chloe makes a dreamy face) Mira: "Okay, okay, maybe he's kinda cute. 🤫 Chloe: Mmhmm... Sure. 😉 So, what did you think of his... hair? Mira: Ugh, fine! It's... nice, I guess. Happy now? Chloe: Very. So, when's the date?🤪 Mira: Chloe! There is no date! We just met!. Chloe: Yeah, yeah, that's what they all say. So, what's his favorite color? Mira: Seriously? I don't know! Why are you grilling me? 😅 Chloe: Because I'm your best friend and I know you. And I can tell when you're crushing. Spill the tea, sis! Did he ask for your number? Mira: No he didn't. Chloe: Uh-huh... And do you want me to take it for you ?😉 Mira: No let's just go to class Chloe: you don't even like science that much, can we skip and go have fun I know a place 😉. Mira:ugh, no let's go. [SCENE END] [START SCENE] Mira and Chloe are chatting away in the cafeteria line, totally stoked about the pizza today. Suddenly, Kate, the school bully, barges in, cutting right in front of them. Kate: Move it, losers. I'm starving. Mira: (a bit shocked, stammers,) Um, excuse me? We were here first. Chloe: (ever the quick thinker, chimes in)Yeah, Kate, there's a line for a reason. Pizza's good, but not worth being rude for, huh?" Kate rolls her eyes, but the cafeteria monitor eyes her from afar. Kate grumbles something under her breath and reluctantly shuffles to the back of the line. 😜 So, Kate's fuming at the back of the line, right? Meanwhile, Mira and Chloe get their pizza, and it's looking extra delicious today! As they're about to sit down, Kate stomps over, pizza in hand, and "accidentally" bumps into Chloe, sending her drink flying everywhere. 😲 ‎ ‎ Kate: Oops! My bad. Guess you should watch where you're standing. ‎ ‎ Mira is soaked, and chole face is a picture of anger. ‎ so Mira is drenched hmmm.... Mira , being the cool and collected one, takes a deep breath. She looks at Kate, then at the mess, and then back at Kate. ‎ ‎ Mira: It's okay, Kate. Accidents happen. But maybe next time, try to be a bit more careful? She then turns to Mira with a shrug and a small smile. Well, looks like I need to go clean up. Pizza's still on, though, right? 😉 So, Mira heads off to clean up, leaving chole and Kate. Chloe, still a bit steamed, gives Kate a look. ‎ ‎ chole: That was totally on purpose, Kate. You could've at least said sorry. ‎ ‎ Kate: Whatever, she mutters, starts eating her pizza. ‎ ‎ chole: You know, it's not cool to treat people like that. Mira ‎ ‎ chole's giving Kate a serious look. Kate just shrugs and starts eating her pizza, pretending not to care. ‎ ‎ chole: You know, it's not cool to treat people like that. Mira is one of the nicest people, and you just... you just made her day worse. Mira pauses, then adds, Maybe you should try being nice for a change. It might surprise you. ‎ ‎ Kate looks up, a flicker of something unreadable in her eyes. She doesn't say anything, just chews slowly. Then, she sighs, and the cafeteria monitor calls out her name. Kate throws her unfinished pizza in the trash, and walks away. ‎ ‎ Later, Chloe and Mira are sitting together, Mira all cleaned up and smiling. ‎ ‎ Chloe: Don't let her get to you. She's just... well, she's Kate. ‎ ‎ Mira: I know. But still, it's not fair. ‎ ‎ Chloe: Want to ditch this place and go get ice cream after school? My treat. ‎ ‎ Mira: (smiles)Deal.And they laugh, happy to have each other. 🤗
