The Princess's Plot

Chapter 2: Coronation

I walked in inside the ballroom when the host addresses my name, as part of the ceremony the Princess who will be crowned needs to walk in the aisle and wave to the people standing on the side.

I bowed my head to respect the Queen and the King, kissed their hands and bowed again, as the priest is talking about the crown and the Princess thing, i kept looking at my sister who is sitting right beside the queen, she keeps on smiling and so did i, when the priest is done i bowed my head to receive the crown.

The priest puts it in my head, gave me a baston and a royal cup with a water inside, i turn around facing many people staring at me, then i spotted Erika.

"You are doing great your majesty" she whispered

I smiled then sturted drinking the water inside the royal cup as part of the ritual, and now i am a Royal Princess second in line for the Throne.

I turn around again the bowed to the queen and king for the receiving of blessing, as my father stands up from the throne i felt his hands on my head and his sword on my right shoulder.

"I now declare you Princess of Reverland"

He shout out so the people watching can hear, i raised my head and once again turn around in the crowd, all of them were clapping and smiling at the new crowned princess, after that the royal family has to go at the balcony and wave to the villagers of the kingdom.

When we walked out on the castles balcony, i saw many people shouting and clapping at the new princess of Reverland kingdom.

While i wave and smile i saw something that caught my attention, it was a boy sitting on the statue of the person who built our kingdom, hes just sitting and watching us on the balcony while my family is busy waving at the people.

When i tapped my sister's shoulder, i said that there is a guy on the mother queen's statue, but when i looked at it again the boy is gone, he looked like someone who's gone into a fight, he looks dirty and he wore a torn top cloth and is not wearing any shoes.

That's when i sensed it, our kingdom is not perfect as i thought when i was a kid. After the greating the ball has begun.

Noble people started dancing, others chatting while drinking tea or wine, but i still think of the the boy on the statue, he looks angry at some point when he looked at me, i am sure of it because he locked his eyes into mine, his gaze was talking to me but i don't know what it is.

"Jessie"

My father called, i raised my head to look at him, he was with a man i think i have met before, he was the duke of Foreignvill city and he was with someone also.

"Jessie this is the duke of Foreignvill city"

"Greatings to you sir"

"Greatings to you too princess"

"This is Joseph the son of the duke"

"Greatings to you my lady"

"Greatings to you too Joseph "

As my father introduced joseph to me i realised something,

is he supposed to be my fiancé just like my sister, as i think of that i didn't realise i was making a face.

"What is wrong your majesty? why are you making that face?"

I snapped and kindly smiled at him, not answering his question, he invited me to have a dance and i agreed, we danced while he looked at my eyes, but i was looking at his shoulder, all trough the night we danced and walked through the garden, and ofcouse there was a servant following us in case something happened.

We talked and talked about different things until they have to go home.

"Did you enjoy the day your majesty?"

"Ohh ofcouse Erika, but not the part where i needed to be with that man but i really enjoyed the whole day"

Erika and i giggled while she brushes my hair light handedly and carefully.

"You must be tired then jessie..... it is also passed your bedtime you need to sleep"

"Ohh please..... like we never runaway through the garden at night"

"No, what i mean is you did many hings today so you have to sleep your majesty"

"Your majesty again Erika..... i told to call me jessie, it is just the two of us here"

"I forgot.... *giggle*"

After she brushed my hair, i headed to my bed and prepared to sleep, she then turned off the light and walked through the door to get out of the room.

When Erika got out, i remember the boy again, it is like i can not forget the look on his face, that night got me thinking, if is sneack out again, maybe i should go outside the palace so i can see the life of people outside the noble wall.

And yeah I cannot go out till i get 18 years old, that is the rules of my parents. I fall asleep that night thinking of ways to get out of the palace without them noticing me.

"Erika!!!"

I shouted out of my lungs making everyone worried, guard run straight to my door, servant opened the door in shock and someone run straight to call Erika, she also run when she heard my voice calling her name.

"Your majesty!!"

She said when she arrived at my room, she looked at every person that is outside the door then closed the door when i signal them to do so.

"Come with me tonight"

"Why?.... where are your whereabouts this time jessie?"

"Outside the palace wall"

"WHAT??..... Jessie it is dangerous"

"You don't want to?....then don't come"

I said as i got up on my bed pouting and whispering words that even i don't understand, until she gave up.

"I will come with you then.... but jessie it is dangerous out there i am telling you"

"It is fine, we will fit in just fine, i won't bring my whole allowance"

Then signalled her an okay sign.

After that we spent the whole day planning on how we will go out tonight without anyone noticing that we are gone.

When we finally got a plan we then put it into action, we snuck out of my room in the dark hall and got to the garden, we climb on to the tree leading out of the backyard but when i finally got out, Erika stopes like she saw some ghost, i look at my back and there i saw mother.

Positioned her hands on her waist and looking at me with those eyes i always see when i do something wrong.

"Again Jessie?"
