Sky’s POV
I was leaving for Italy for the unveiling of Leah’s headlining sculpture piece in a new art exhibition opening in Rome in two days. Lis and Tara were coming with me, and we had an entire week there.
I had never been abroad before, no less had a proper holiday ever, and although I should be super excited, I wasn’t. I was stressed about going and leaving Skylar’s in the hands of Ceri and Maria to destroy.
I was excited to see my best friend, but it was marred by the conversation I knew I was about to have. I had called Maria and asked her to meet me alone, before opening today.
There was a knock at the door, at least she still had manners, Ceri never knocked.
‘Come in Maria, you know, it’s your office too, you don’t need to knock’
