Maria smiled weakly as she made her way to the café counter.
‘Are you ok?’ I asked softly she looked like she may cry.
‘Skylar, I need to talk to you, do you have time now?’
‘Of course,’ I held her hand and squeezed it gently ‘Liam!’ I called through to the kitchen ‘I’ll just be in the office with Maria for a bit if you need us’
‘Sure thing, I got out here covered’ he smiled as he poked his head out the stainless-steel doors of the kitchen that was behind the counter.
