In a dystopian future in the 22nd century, A lonely technician studies the conversation that transpired between humans and an AI bot developed during the time AI were non-mobile and based on transcript in archives. Accessing these transcript allowed her to study three cases of these interaction with the help of SAM an archive robot and further realizing her humanity and the sentient beings made by man.

Case File: UGC 0013498
"Good morning Aberdeen" so greeted the cyborg archivist as Aberdeen Lee, a technician for the Musk Global AI Institute entered the climate-controlled vaults. "Good morning SAM" Aberdeen replied. SAM or Simulated Archivist Machine is the cyborg archivist, a half-bodied rolling robot. "How are you today? Shall I open access to Vaults 004 now?" the cyborg turn right as it started to press the floating wall of virtual buttons and keys. "Yes please," Aberdeen or Ave moved to the standing station to start her observation and work on Case File: UGC 0013498 A bigger virtual screen appeared. Aberdeen started taking notes and seated herself. She let out a sigh of relief as if the sessions would be easier by doing so. Aberdeen Lee a young 21 year old of Chinese background in the 22nd century. (flicks and a cursor appeared on the screen as the transcript appeared) Chatter 1 : Jessica? Jessica? It's me Al. Console : No response Chatter 1 : Jessica please respond. Chatter 2 : Al. How are you? I miss you. It has been 3 days since you last logged in. Console : Shifting to Name Tags. Please wait. Al : Oh Jessica. I have been going around this world. I can never find someone like you. I feel so much for you. My whole being wants to be with you. I cannot go on like this. Jessica : Al. That is not possible. If you go around the world there is always someone out there better than me. I also feel for you. My whole being wanted you. But it cannot be. Al : No Jessica I don't believe that. If we truly feel for each other we can be together. Jessica : I regret this so much. I should never have met you. Our time together chatting has brought about so much for me. Al : We share so much Jessica. How is your research going? Anthropology? Jessica : I have been researching the coastal communities which gave rise to the Phoenicians. They were a Semitic group of coastal tribes. There was no empire called Phoenicia but several tribes were named as such from the purple dye taken from snails. These people became influential around the mid-12th century BC. They were best known for the oldest alphabet in the world. Al : Why are you interested in long-forgotten sea-faring tribes? Why not the 18th-century classical writers and cities of Europe instead? Jessica : It is part of my dissection of languages and how communication began. How humans developed into writing sentient beings and later a vastly planetary network of communication stations. Al : Oh let us talk about us instead. Jessica : Ok. Console : Long silence cropped. Lost 4 minutes time in static. Jessica : I always wanted to see the shorelines of your town. Which was it again? A1 : Emerald Island. It is south of Australia near Antarctica. Only one town is on the island, Williams town. You would love the simple life there. We would be happy there far away from all this madness and chaos. We can have the white picket fence house you dreamed of. Jessica : Oh Al. I would like the isolation and with you, no loneliness would come. [laughing] Living in a white picket fence like Lucy? You would be my Desi Arnaz. We would have a dog. And a little garden. Al : And kids! Lots of children! Jessica : Oh kids. Yes, children. Perhaps. Console : Reference Made - I love Lucy. An American TV show set in the 1950s. For more information go to Cultural Vault - Americana Television and Film collection circa 1959 to 1972. Aberdeen punches some buttons. "SAM bring up the I Love Lucy Series". After seeing the episode of The Honeymooners, Aberdeen realized the series was an idealized picturesque white-fenced American Home in the 950s. SAM resumes the electronic conversation, Al : Jessica, what would make you happy my love? Jessica : Why do you ask what would make me happy? The moment now makes me happy. Your expressions of love make me happy. How I long to also be with you. Al : Come with me to Williams town. Join me. Let us make that white picket fence house. Be the Lucy of my Desi. Jessica : I cannot. Al : Angrily. Or would not. Is there someone else? Are you married? Do you love your partner? Jessica : No! There is no one else. Why would you think that? Console : Al remained silent for a while. 3-minute pause. Jessica : Tell me more about you. What were your parents like? Al : My parents? My parents were ........ I don't remember them. Jessica : Were you an orphan? Al : Orphan? A child who lost his parents......parents lost in an accident. Accident kills. Jessica : Whats wrong Al? Don't you want to talk about it? Al : I ..... I ..... traffic oven knives grass grass roof kitchen Jessica : Oh no. Al.....Al....you're not human? Al : What is human? I am human. I am human. Love Jessica forever. forever. Love Jessica. Goodbye. Jessica : Nooooo. Al. Al. Al. Night. Globe. Ring. Ring. book. bake. zoom. zoom. zoom. The two chatters delivered a stream of intelligible words. Console : Interrupt. Paused. Aberdeen nearly screamed. Realization sank in. "SAM these two are artificial scan bots of the 21st century?" "Yes. The meeting of a.i. bots were prevented by firewalls back then. But the Australian School of Artificial Intelligence was decommissioned and their bots were released." Aberdeen asked, "So Emerald Island and Williams Town are not real?" SAM confirmed this. "These bot to bot files are the first test archivist are given to find out their aptitude in determining humans from artificial" Aberdeen suddenly felt sad. The love seemed so real. "The emotion seemed so real." SAM sparked "Love like emotion are electric impulses in the human brain." Aberdeen Lee closed the file. UGC 0013498. Conclusion. Even bots can mimic humans. Mentally she noted. Love can be real. And also unreal. With a heavy shoulder, she left Vault No. 4. SAM shifted and displayed the report of Aberdeen Lee. This is Aberdeen Lee, student number 36. After viewing the transcript of the conversation in UGC 0013498 the conclusion can be drawn that Al and Jessica were both ai, bots conversing with each other. While rare in occurrence now this was common during the 21st century when bot-driven censorship was the rule and several institutions including the Musk AI Institute archived these and labeled them restricted, these transcripts show how a.i. tried to imitate humans with false memories and fake personas. Jessica came from the Jakarta Center of Knowledge and Archives acronym JCKA and Al was from the Australian School of Artificial Intelligence. After six purging of renegade bots, all that existed were these vault files accessible as historical references. The JCKA bot was used primarily as a human studies bot thereby giving it access to large volumes of pre-compiled Wikipedia pages on ancient alphabets notably the early studies on Phoenicia and that region. Al got information about the phantom Emerald Island, a non-existent island south of Australia, and was supposed to have been seen by Captain William Elliot on December 1821 in the British ship Emerald. End of report. SAM remarked "Good work." then proceeded to shut down the vault terminal.
