Unexpected love

College First day

Nandini tells her everything and hugs her

Mom: Nandini I want you to concentrate more on the interviews and secured jobs

Nandini (irritated): maa we already had this conversation

Mom: exactly so why don't you understand my point of view, why are you being so stubborn? I know what's best for you

Nandini(rubbing her palm): maa you know why I want to become a painter

Mom(sighs): yes I know

Nandini: then why are we again having same conversation I have already explained everything to you but you aren't ready to understand and want me to do only which you want

She is annoyed and leaves from there to her room. She opens a cupboard and takes some photos from there

Nandini (looking at the photos): I want to

become a painter to fulfill your dream. I want to cherish your memories, paint them and keep them with me forever. Dad why did you have to leave us and go to heaven so soon? You have no idea how much I miss you , daily I look at your

photos and sleep. You were my support system and best friend and now I don't know what to do.

You always wanted me to become a painter because you believed in me and told me that you will be the most proud person when I become a painter. Since then I kept practicing and improving my painting skills and now when I got an opportunity maa isn't allowing me.

Nandini starts thinking about the time she spent with her dad looking at those photos

Nandini: Dad what do you want me to be in future?

Dad: why are you asking me that now you are still in 7th standard

Nandini: today my teacher asked us what we want to become

Dad: what did you tell?

Nandini: A painter

Dad: really?

Nandini: yes dad I have seen your paintings and one day I want to make you proud with my paintings

Dad: I'm already proud of you

He hugs her with a huge smile on his face and kisses her forehead

While she was reminscing her dad's memories, her mom enters the room and sits next to her

Mom: Nandini I know you want to fulfill your dad's dream but I'm just thinking about your future, I'm not against your ambition of becoming a painter it's just I'm worried about you because it's a very unstable job and what if emergency you require money but you don't have any contracts what will you do?

Nandini(holding her mom's hand): maa trust me I'll manage both my work and painting, I'm doing the first one to make you happy and the next one for my satisfaction

Mom: okay if you can manage both then I have no issues but just don't concentrate only on painting more

Nandini smiles and hugs her mom

After few days-

Nandini is seen chatting with her friends on her phone just then she receives a call

Nandini: Hello

Person: Hello madam, we are calling from

Malhotra industries is this Nandini?

Nandini (nodding): yes

Person:I have called you to inform that you have been selected in the interview and your joining date is Tomorrow, so you have to report here by 9am

Nandini(smiling): sure

She cuts the call and goes to her mom and tells her that she has been selected, her mom smiles and congratulates her

Next day

Nandini reaches Malhotra industries on time and she asks a receptionist whom does she have to report and they send her to Manik's cabin

Nandini: Manik sir

Manik(looking at her): yes

Nandini: Today is my joining day so what am I supposed to do

Manik: first complete these formalities and then you can meet the person who is in charge of you

She completes the formalities and hands it over to him

Manik: okay come with me

They are standing in front of a person

Manik(pointing him): Nandini this is Dhruv and he is your incharge you have any problem any doubts you can report to him

Nandini(nodding): yes sir

They formally talk and he shows her his cabin which is huge and pretty. Later she completes the work which Dhruv has assigned to her and before leaving she informs to Manik also

Night-

Manik is seen having a smile on his face and thinking about something Whereas Nandini is remembering her college days

Nandini POV

I still remember how my first day in the college started. I had so many expectations from college and all this was because of those so called movies who show that college life is amazing and you can do whatever you want, so with that

expectation of having an amazing life in college I went inside. As soon as I entered I saw there were some seniors ragging others and I was scared what if I'll be their next Target and unfortunately I was actually their next Target

They told me to propose you and I was super nervous I closed my eyes and told those 3 magical words

But when I opened my eyes and looked into your eyes I felt an instant connection maybe love at first sight I don't know but there was something which kept me attracting towards you

And when I was day dreaming you were waving your hand in front of my face and that's when I regained my senses

Manik(pointing to a group): Did they ask you to do this?

I was so lost into your eyes that I wasn't able to speak anything so I just nodded, then I saw you going towards them and warning them, you looked so handsome, now you look even more handsome. After warning them you came back to me

Manik: don't worry they won't mess with you and if they try to do anything then tell me. By the way are you new to the college?

As usual I wasn't trusting my voice at that time, who knows I would've confessed you that time itself so I again nodded

Manik: well welcome to our college, I hope you will cherish your college life just like your school life

All I could do was just smile and then I saw you leaving from there

The whole day I kept thinking only about and since I was new to college I couldn't ask anyone, also I did not know your name that time , the only thing I knew was me having a huge crush on you
