Life in a Another World

In the heart of Aetheria's mystical woods, a young adventurer named Einz Carter finds himself wandering amidst the ancient trees and whispering foliage. The call of the forest had drawn him away from the mundane world he once knew, seeking the thrill of the unknown. As he explored the enchanting realm, his eyes fell upon a gleaming hardwood stick lying on the ground. He reached down and picked it up, feeling the firm grip of the staff in his hands. Little did he know that this humble stick would soon prove invaluable on his journey through the untamed wilderness. Not long after, Einz Carter heard a rustling sound behind him. Turning around, he caught sight of a pair of glowing eyes staring back at him from the shadows. A fanged rabbit emerged, its sharp teeth and agile movements giving it a menacing air. This was the Razor Rabbit, a creature known for cunning and swift attacks. "Hey there, little one," Einz said, cautiously lowering the wooden staff in a non-threatening manner. To his surprise, the Razor Rabbit leaped to attack. Instead, it tilted its head as if sizing him up. Feeling a strange connection to the creature, Einz decided to befriend it rather than face it as an adversary. He extended a hand towards the Razor Rabbit, offering a sign of goodwill. After a moment's hesitation, the fanged creature approached, sniffing his hand, then biting it. Good thing Einz removed it quickly. With the Razor Rabbit now preparing an attack, Einz continued to raise his guard, fighting the rabbit, and after hitting it a couple of times when it charged at him, he finally killed it and put it in his inventory, venturing deeper into the heart of the forest. Along the way, he encountered several weak monsters that challenged him, though none too formidable for his growing skill and the trusty hardwood stick he wielded. First, he faced Earth Moles, creatures as big as a cat, burrowing through the ground. With quick reflexes, Einz evaded their attacks, countering with swift strikes from his whooping stick, felling the creatures one by one. Next came the Green Raggers, grasshoppers one meter long and as tall as a cat. Their powerful legs allowed them to jump with surprising agility, but Einz's newly acquired fighting skills proved effective once more. With each defeated monster, he collected spoils and learned more about his strengths as an adventurer. As the day wore on, Einz sensed a change in the forest's atmosphere. The air grew heavy, and the sound of distant rumbling echoed through the woods. He knew he was close to something significant. As he continued forward, he stumbled upon a massive cave entrance hidden in a crawl space between two imposing rocks. An uneasy feeling washed over him, and he tightened his grip on the wooden staff. Before him stood the Rock Bear, a grey-colored behemoth twice the size of an ordinary bear, standing at a staggering 20 feet tall on its hind legs. Its intimidating presence and powerful roars echoed through the forest. Fear surged through Einz's veins, but he reminded himself of the battles he had won earlier in the day. With a deep breath, he steadied himself, ready to face this formidable opponent and discover the true depths of his newfound abilities. While fighting the bear, Einz got the upper hand for some time. While the bear had some bruises, it got enraged and its fur spiked, and its fangs grew larger with its eyes turning red because of its scary features. Einz ran away scared, saying" Oh s**t, oh s**t, oh s**t s**t s**t s**t after some attacks didn't work at the beast. While running away, Einz saw a small cave around 3ft or 3.5ft in height and a meter wide. With the bear in his trail, Einz entered the cave. At the split of a second, he got into the cave, crawling before the bear got to him. Because of how huge the bear is, it couldn't fit in the cave. Tired, Einz fell and collapsed after fighting the bear and running away. A couple of hours passed Einz woke up feeling hungry, so he looked for something inside the cave. Much to his surprise saw the remains of fallen adventurers who got trapped in the cave, he thought it was because of the rock bear or something else. Using fire magic, Einz saw some torches and small crates, and barrels in the dimly lit cave. Lighting the torch, Einz carefully examined the belongings of the fallen adventurers who had met their fate while escaping from the Rock Bear. He found a rusted iron sword, worn-out leather armor, potions, dismantling tools, and Lockpicks. A pang of sadness filled his heart as he realized the dangers these adventurers had faced before meeting their end. Wanting to pay his respects, Einz buried them with the utmost care, honoring their memory and the bravery they had shown. With determination in his eyes, Einz decided to make the cave his training ground. Over the next two days, he focused on honing his Mana manipulation skills, concentrating on channeling and controlling the magical energy within him. Gradually, he felt his abilities improving slightly, taking small steps towards mastering his Mana control and manipulation. Not content with just magic, Einz also trained in the basics of swordsmanship. He recalled all the things he watched in anime and other shows or games he played in his previous life, which had been a skilled swordsman, and practiced his techniques with the rusted iron sword he found. He realized that while his swordsmanship might not be as proficient as his magical skills, combining both could make him a formidable opponent, and the rest of his time there, Einz tended to the rusted sword. He found some fine and rough stones in the cave back on Earth. Recalling what he watched on internet videos, he broke in half both stones to make 2 kinds of sharpeners, a fine and rough one, like those people in survival blogs, and he began to sharpen the sword, cleaning it with damp rags while removing the rust from the sword, then a polishi it with the fine sword. Then a sound notified him, congratulating him for learning the skill of basic blade sharpening Lv. 1 Rusted sword -> Poor sword( sharpened ). Attack. 10 -> 14. Durability. 32 -> 58 As the Rock Bear finally left the outside of the cave, Einz felt a sense of accomplishment and readiness to journey forth once more. Venturing out, being cautious while traversing through the forest, hunting more rabbits and raggers, the large grasshoppers, and some burrowing snakes that like to dig holes and ambush their prey when it's close. After traversing through the forest, he saw a road leading out of the forest, so he followed it, which led to a caravan. He soon encountered a merchant's caravan under attack by the very same Rock Bear that he had faced before. Without hesitation, Einz sprang into action, coordinating with the adventurers to fight the monstrous beast. Utilizing both magic and physical attacks, Einz and the adventurers worked in harmony to defeat the Rock Bear. When the battle ended, Einz explained to them that he had fought the creature before, but the encounter had resulted in his defeat. Impressed by his skill and bravery, the adventurers welcomed him and agreed to let him accompany them to a nearby city. Accepting his request, the merchant introduces himself as "Thaddeus Everbroke" as well as the group of 5 adventurers. Lyra: A clergy in training of their church can cast minor defenses and heal. She's like the Big Sister of the group. Age: 26 Isabella: A 6ft tall, bulky blonde woman with 6-pack abs and a big sword around 1.5 meters long. Carefree and always likes training, she brings joy to the group. Age: 24 Kellan: A swordsman that has no emotion whatsoever, looking lazy with downward hair covering his eyes. he may seem weak-looking, but he can slice a goblin or wolf in two. Age: 20 Garrick: A thief with excellent stealth, traps, knife, and bow skills, a childhood friend of Kellan. He's been with Kellan since they were a child, and Kellan was always emotionless for an unknown reason. Age: 21 Lucius: A mage from the magic kingdom, Celestina has a strict attitude and is the one who manages the entire group called Redstone, often getting teased by Issabella. Age: 25 During the journey, Einz told them about his fake past in order not to arouse suspicion or be thought of as a crazy person. He said, "He was raised by his adventurous grandparents. He recounted the tale of how they found him in a river as a child. His grandfather had been a skilled swordsman, while his grandmother was a mage, both of whom had trained him in their respective arts. However, they had passed away just two months ago, leaving Einz with their belongings and a legacy to uphold. The group was shocked when they saw him using a sword and magic during the battle with the Rock Bear, and were impressed by his skills a bit. On their way to the city, they encountered a group of goblins, and Einz showcased his newfound abilities, helping the adventurers to eliminate the threat. Grateful for his assistance, the adventurers shared their spoils with him and guided him to the nearest inn upon reaching the city. They even offered him a small reward for his efforts, recognizing the potential of the young mage and swordsman. As Einz settled into the city, he knew that his journey had only just begun. His encounter with the adventurers had ignited a new sense of purpose within him, and he was determined to follow in his Dreams and do anything he wanted as an adventurer in the vast and magical realm of Aetheria.
