As the sun began to set, casting warm hues across the sky, Duke made his way home, gradually shedding the burdens of the day. Upon arriving at his cheerful lime-green residence, he was greeted by the enthusiastic barks of his small puppy. The dog’s joyful energy brought a smile to his face, reminding him that, despite the challenges he faced that day, a source of comfort awaited him at home. After entering and removing his shoes, Duke took a moment to bend down and pet the puppy, cherishing their connection. However, as he started to change into more comfortable attire, memories of an impactful night surfaced in his thoughts, prompting him to rub his forehead and exhale deeply. Unbeknownst to him, this moment of contemplation would lead to deeper insights, revealing that something from his past was lurking in the shadows, hunting him and waiting for a slip-up. Duke yawned slightly before rolling into bed and falling asleep, but this rest would not last long. He eventually reawoke around one o'clock in the morning and found he couldn’t go back to sleep, which caused him to let out a long sigh. He sat up and looked around the pitch-black room before getting out of bed and heading to the kitchen for a snack. Before he could make it, he narrowly dodged gunfire, the bullets shredding his wall. “What the hell?” he exclaimed. As Duke slowly turned around, he was confronted by a giant cybernetic creature, something that looked like it had stepped straight out of a sci-fi movie. But less ugly, he had no time to question what was happening. This thing was on his ass like stank on s**t. They would engage in a fierce battle going blow for blow. Duke would be on the receiving end of a brutal beat down, being brought to his knees by multiple liver shots. “Nothing has ever been able to bring me down unless it was government-made,” Before Duke could make any more witty claims or remarks he'd be knocked unconscious by another entity in the room and taken away.
