Shard and the Crescent

i flick my eyes open, it takes me a second to register what happened last night... i get up in bed and turn my head to look at the door, that was half open with one boy peeking in, he seemed near my age. i got up to my feet, only to find myself quite injured and unable to walk properly, i clumsily try to approach the boy, then another boy but one who seemed older, maybe 14 or so 4 years older than me.. "ur awake already?" he asked, as if he seemed confused but sarcastic ".." I say nothing and stare at him as if slowly remembering what has happened for me to be in a stranger's bedroom and have injuries all over. a few hours later, I shower and wear the 'demon slayer' uniform they have offered me, nothing special or fancy, just a navy blue button up shirt and a plated skirt. "u can call me ur older brother, or cousin to be specific" "cousin..?", i try to remember if I have any cousins, then i remember i have a non blood cousin from my mother's side. "well, let me explain it all to u." he rants on and on about what a demon slayer is, training to become one, and then finally says "that's all, you'll get a wooden sword to train, then after u pass the final exam u can have a real sword." "when can we start?" i say nonchalantly
