I get on the phone with Emily, Ara's trusted sidekick, and we dive into plotting how to topple Sterling. Aside from stirring the media pot, we've got to reel in some solid witness and material evidence. Alex jumps in, volunteering to reach out to all those clients who got the short end of the Sterling stick, hoping to make amends.
"I just want them to forgive me," Alex says, looking a bit remorseful.
"You've got nothing to apologize for," I assure him. "The mistakes were all your father's company’s doing."
“But I made promises I couldn't keep, letting them down,” Alex sighs, rubbing the back of his neck. “If I’d only seen the company’s true colors sooner, they might have received their claims.”
"We can't dwell on shoulda, coulda, woulda," I say, giving my head a little shak
